This suggestion came up like a dozen times in different variations and I always loved it. Unfortunately I think this is one of several good suggestions we will never see implemented in this game.

Smaller nations would grow their talent pool without hurting the big nations. Losing a good prospect (team going bot, stubborn/dumb owner) can be devastating for a small nation, so allowing to switch nationalities could help a lot in this regard, as small nations could compensate these losses pretty easily.

I agree.

It also allows users who moved to a new country the option of training a player for their original country.

I like this idea. Maybe make it more than 2 seasons, just seems kinda short. Make it just like soccer, a player gets a cap and thats their country. Could make it all NT games or just competitive ones.

If this even is going to be allowed I think that moving only should be allowed to smaller nations then the one the player comes from

I don't see this as an issue if it operates like soccer. Players can get dual citizenship but aren't tied to a country until they play a competitive game.

The issue is that there is a very limited talent pool for smaller nations and if their better ones are taken and trained elsewhere they lose out. At present some of these nations have guys in the NT who are based and trained elsewhere.

I believe more individuals would help out the smaller nations than vice-verse. I for one who would be one of those as I would help out one of the Caribbean nations if I could.

How about if you had to pay for a nationality for the player. The club could pay 50K per player and get that player citizenship in a country of their choosing, making the player a dual citizen.

For example I have an American draftee and I buy citizenship from Jamaica for that player. If I were training him for the U21 and he had skills suitable for both teams, the manager can decide who he wants his player to play for and that would be his NT for the rest of his career.

I don't think just paying for it works. Only change if the player has lived/played in the 2nd country for a number of seasons. Which happens all the time. Been a few players born in USA who played here in Australia who went on to play for Australia at the international level.
