That really sucks what happened with the server busy and all. Lost at least a million for sure.

Not sure what the GM's would do in this situation. They usually extend the auctions for this kind of mishap.

If they put the player back on the transfer list, the person who bought him would be kicking and screaming.

All current transfers should be frozen and extended for amount of time lost no matter when the actual deadline is.

Without contacting all the past bidders, 3 Managers have come forward who have stated that they couldnt log onto the system and that they wanted to pay more for the player than what he sold for.

I dont believe that the system was too busy I believe that it was just down.

Please advise how this situation will be rectified

I do not know. It is Marin field.

Im happy to return the 2.1 mill and regain the player or im also happy if he is re-auctioned under my ownership.

Much appreciate if you could help bring it to his attention

I too must question the logic of setting a 1k initial minimum bid on a player that you wanted to sell for 3 million dollars. If people were willing to spend 3 million dollars for your player, it wouldn't matter what the initial price was...

IMO this is a good strategy when the player is of high quality as it encourages more people to get involved in the action and generally speaking if the site doesnt crash, then I believe you get a higher price.

I sold Ivan Ryder (25104321) whilst starting him at $1 a week earlier and got 4.161 Mill for him.

Terry Mc has already played one scrimmage for the Australia National team and was 5 years younger than Ryder and to me was of more value to myself than what Ryder was.

I expected Terry Mc to have sold for between 3 and 4 mill, which I believe he would have if the site hadnt gone down

Server "too busy", my arse

I am sorry to tell you, but you have no chance to get the player back in re-acution.

This kind of situation has happened before and never an auction has re-opened because the site was down.

As in real life, when you want to get more, you have to risk more. It is a risk to put him for a low price to attract more bidders, but it can also result in a lower than expected result, for whatever reason.

If the site is down then aint auctions meant to be extended.

Trainerman has messaged me and expressed to me his thoughts that this wouldnt be a problem if autobid was in play.

To answer Trainermans other question, if I was to be officially told that its tough luck and that nothing could be done, then I would be extremely pissed.

Just wrong that a system problem can affect a Manager so heavily

If the system is incapable of running a "fair & proper" auction then the fix isnt hard, just cancel the sale and let the ripped off owner have the player back

"Just cancel the sale and let the ripped off owner have the player back"

So how do you explain that to Snow Boyz who just scored a bargain for McInery? It would make you happy but cause another to be disgruntled.

I know its a tough pill to swallow but what Ruidri said makes perfect sense.
