that was indeed a close game - no time for bottle-flipping.

The karmic gods are trolling me, first a match against the 'other' team from Da Boro. And now not only do I draw wind walker, but I draw him the same damn week I play him in league. But at least it gives me the excuse to make musical merriment as Meat Loaf, Vince Guaraldi, The Animals and Franz Ferdinand can attest.

Well I am not getting pummeled quite as bad as expected, and it looks like Believe Will Win is going for the pole draft position and a rebuild. If I can sneak out a few wins there is a good chance that relegation playoffs will be in our future. The bottom of the great 8 is definitely beatable as is.

I may spend the stash I have been protecting on the old arena since there is a good chance I will stick around. I really can't justify adding an expensive player since it won't really push me much higher and will just cut into my profits (which are sky high due to my low salary, decent arena, and promotion bonus). My arena is the 2nd most profitable on average so far and my salary is right at the floor. Ka-ching.

Hope everyone else's season is going as planned or better.

I am pretty content with my first DIII season. Played full strength against the Clogs to see how I stacked up against a solid DIII team. Came out pretty happy with the results. Sure I lost with enthusiasm advantage and home court, but was tied late in the 4th and my roster is still pretty minimal. Need to add a PF/C and maybe a PG.

It also hurt your chances that because it was a short week, I wasn't playing my normal craptacular patient offense and was instead playing a slightly less craptacular Princeton. Of course, if I ever discover the secret to making the team realize that they shoot a higher percentage from 3 than from 2, so please just start jacking up threes rather than laboring for open layups they'll miss anyway, you're all in trouble.

Wow 2 guys almost got a DNP in the all-star game. That can't happen very often.

What a big time showing for your boy Sanders. Not only lights out from the field but garners a 19.0 rating.

And then there is your boy....the new york jests......first they run you out of your own gym.....now they seek to derail rocket science.

Not a lot of discussion, must be because NBA is still before all star break and NFL playoffs are tying everyone up.

I have the cash but not ready to pull the trigger. Pretty satisfied to make money hand over fist and play a relegation series. Will stock up next year for a real fight. I think I can beat any of the bottom 4 in the Great 8 straight up in a Bo3. I think it is a bad move to go to Utopia relegation/promotion rules, that is my biggest complaint over there tbh. But w/e have to play with what they give us. Hopefully I can make enough of a push next year to stick.

Getting to the five hole is not out of the question for the Lions as walker may well bot. As for my squad they are mercurial as a win over the guns followed by a loss to chopaski illustrates. But we....are.....better.

Also we are still pretty cash poor though there are assets, bringing down ticket prices could help the week to week but this is a great case study as to the long term effects of getting thumped by ones rival coupled with poor tv results do to a franchise.
