Ok, thanks for the answer.
I was just wondering if it was because of not being a supporter, but I'm glad to know that it has nothing to do with it.
Oh, this weeks game the same thing happened. Just keeping things updated :P

Today I had the same problem, the player I selected as center backup was the starter and vice versa.
All the rest (including tactics and attitude) was as chosen.

Yeah, this night Shane Joyner looks like not even being near the Arena tonight. David Rebelo (the main for the position) made the whole game, and he's not a resistance player. Please fix this issue, it has passed three weeks and haven't heard a single word about this. Not by e-mail, not even here in the forum. And don't say you don't have time to just write three words like "we are checking" or "go f*ck yourself". I guess this is not the first time it happens, so you already might know where the problem is, so I think it's a very easy and quick issue to solve. Or at least let me know that you know the existence of this and that it is on your waiting list of problems to solve but please say something FFS! Or if the player just plain sucks, TELL IT! I'm getting pretty mad about this and maybe I'll just let a potential good player go to waste or try to pass it to another guy.

Hi, and thanks for your post.

I've checked into it, and the in-game coach simply feels that Rebello is a much better player than Joyner (indeed he seems to be, looking at their recent box-scores, as well).

What coaching orders did you give? If you picked "Let Coach Decide," I would argue that the coach made the correct decision. If you picked "Strictly Follow Depth Chart," then your argument may be very valid. Can you check which orders you used?

Cheers!

Thank you very much for the answer. I was getting pretty desperate. I used the "let the coach decide". So, I have to use the "strictly follow depth chart" to get Shane to play? It has been a coach decision all along? Even if Rebello was tired, he wouldn't put Shane to play? Here's a wicked coach. A very very grateful thank you for your reply.

Yeah, but I made a decision of going to the market. The coach made the right decision, despite Shane is pretty good on inside scoring and inside defence, he lacks other important stuff for the job. Thank you for all your support.

I had a similar problem in the latest game - the player I chose as a starter, didn't start, but was a replacement. That was game 4577874, position sf. I chose "let coach decide" and I realize that he should play only few minutes if the replacement was much stronger. But he at least should have been in the starting line-up ("s" infron tof him name during the game)! Shouldn't he?

Was this a bug, or can the coach change starters as well, as he chooses??

Yeah, it was the coach who made the decision of not letting him play in the initial 5. You have to use "strictly follow depth chart" for him to play in the initial 5.

Didn't see this thread at first when I created the thread/post above.

The affected player dropped 2 levels of GS from the prior week due to this.

This seems like a bug, not simply the coach choosing one player over another. Why, when I'm winning by 50+ points, doesn't the coach then put in the player he skipped over as starter? Then the backup would have only 26 mins, not 38. For the week he'd have 89 mins instead of 101.

I'll play it safe from now on, using SFDC, but that doesn't seem like much of a fix.

In my Game tonight i wanted my 3. PG Armendariz to start the Game, and my "better" PG Henderson to Backup. Advice to the Coach was "until 4. Quarter" to be sure Armendariz will play a lot.

Instead of this, Henderson started the game, played over 30 minutes in the first 3. quarters, but was NOT be substituted in the 4th , while i was leading with over 30 points and all other Starters were substituted.

What i think: A bug let him start, but under the "blow out-Rule" he is again handled like an Backup and so he played the 4. Quarter too.

Its not funny, instead of ca. 68 minutes like expexted he hat now 89 Minutes this week, and my 3. PG only 7 instead of ca. 30.

Please find that problem soon !
