So, yeah, I guess it could be like that, though in the 10 seasons I've done it, I haven't quite encountered that scenario. But that's also why I give added weight to players 6-10...I suppose I could boost it more, but for my purposes, it seems to be fine. Plus, it's mostly just a general idea and its better when its wrong...just like the sports pundits on TV.

With latest changes in game engine, balanced teams should be weighted more.
You need to put a decent 5 start players on the field, so if you have 300K starters it is way harder to beat a 70+70+60+50+50 than 100+90+90+10+10

You rated my team 12, before I sold some of my players, but last season with less budget because my trainees were way below the salary you used for calculation, I made the playoffs.

This is a fair point, but I think the thing being missed is the point value comes from the distance from the league averages for each category. If you have a $300k total salary and the league average is $300k, there's not going to be a big discrepancy. I suppose the argument would be for more of a "Top 3" to be included and weighted less...that might even be better than a top 10 since most teams generally put 7-8 players in a game. At any rate, I do appreciate the feedback - something more to think about if I decide to retool it. You should have seen how crappy it was clear back in the early season 50's!
