I don't "care" about approval rating. I just think his is a childish way to show discontent. The very day Joe and guiguits will have had it, I'm confident Belgium will not be able to maintain the high level of performance that both the NT and U21 are enjoying right now.

As soon as Joe quits, then the scouting will crumble and the lvl will drop. you'll only notice it 8 to 10 seasons after Joe leaves. Not throwing shade onto Guiguits, but i think you (Dartreb) or another BBBL manager could run the U21. Joe (and Angi?) are the key pieces.

If if anyone thinks he can do better, please do. Write down your name during the election, hit the forum and let us now what you're unhappy about and what you would do instead to improve things. But no, that's too much work, let's just downvote :p

i mean, what is the point of even trying at this point? you'd have to go back to 2022 to see a Speech posted for an election. it's 8 seasons ago. Futhermore, the reason the U21 and NT is working is because the staff as a whole put the time into it. If someone else comes along and puts in equal amount of time, then maybe it could work too. But that is the key part. The time is the big issue.

When it comes to having players selected or not into the NT, I can say with confidence that my team has provided a HUGE amount of players to the NT (I used to keep track of that but I stopped after 13). I always do my best, but sometimes one gets injured, caps early, or is overshadowed by a fantastic draftee the next season. That happens, but even when it does, you end up with a great player, which what playing the game is about. Not to mention that the required level to make it to the national teams has greatly improved (yes, I still remember when 18 OD was almost a guaranteed NT spot), which properly reflects the progress made at international level.

back then 120k for a player was pushing it for your economy.

About Joe, I'm not sure he would be too delighted with training the french NT, but that's just my opinion.

i'm referring to the situation that he could run in their election and he would with near certainty get elected. The French would make an exception for Joe to be their Nt manager, cause i doubt they'd accept anyone else that isn't french to be their NT or U21 manager.

Unfortunately, neither in NT nor U21 there's no staff anymore, only guiguits and me (and GioDeb who manages our Discord Server). It's a very long time now that AnGi doesn't help anymore (a well-deserved retirement).

It's a very well earned retirement. If memory serves, she's been at it since you took over in season 14, possible even under Sum41

We have several dedicated managers who help us every 4 seasons (Melarius, Guntherux, GioDeb, Critical,...) but they are not enough. This season and next season we should be very competitive thanks to the great job of several owners, that's why it's very important to play the WC next season, because we won't be eligible to host the next EC, so playing the consolation tournament wouldn't be very interesting. But in S58 and S59 that will be very difficult because we have almost found nobody :(

I know you want to always to shoot for the stars, but having some off seasons is ok too. you can't be all work and no play since the U21 would then be a dull boy (this is an expression). it means you cannot always be 100% engaged.

As for the database,
Don't you have the code for it anymore? You could get all the Belgian players back. Your foreign data might no longer be up to date, but that isn't the end all be all. it does make things less usefull for updating purposes (and no database means you haven't automatically scouted every 18/19y old i guess

@Guiguits:
sorry to hear you don't have a whole lot of staff anymore. Being a staff member often is an unrewarding role. no recognition for all the time you put in tracking the players that you are responsible for (providing the managers are willing to answer)

Basically there is a staff.. But they have nothing to do, so at that point.. yeah there is no staff anymore like we know from the past.
(No offense to the management because its not their fould the staff has nothing to do anymore)

As you already mentioned its an unrewarding role and the last 3-4 seasons (or even more) they nearly got some answers after contacting managers with a potential good player.

Thats why Joe and Guiguits decided to get the skills by their own wich was way faster then let the staff (trying) contacting the managers and search for good potential players.
I don't have to explain that when you have to wait multiple weeks on an answer before the player starts his training plan you've would never reach the skills you need to be competitive.
Also with the well deserved retirement of AnGi has created a big experience gap in the staff.

Credits to Joe and Guiguits for all the hard work they do the last few seasons.
Im happy to see that managing the discord server help them to have a quick and good contact with the managers

Adding interested managers to a separated discord server for U21 management works way better to share some training plans and follow up the improvements.
Me and guiguits tested the seperated discord server for his training project of S58 and it worked really well.

Congratulations on passing the group. We gambled with the first match and it turned out as we expected. Now we must not screw up against Ireland and finally after 22 seasons we pass the group.
