I don't think that's very fair. Of course I care about the game, making it work, etc. Of course I want everything to run smoothly.
I see your point, and I would agree with you - yesterday. Today I was annoyed by denying that the problem exists (which was later explained as a mistake).
Now I see more explanation about what's going on, and I really feel sorry for developers - it's far from easy to find bugs in someone else's (lousy?) code. Still, I'll keep the right to decide about extending supporter package, if it's worth for me at this point or not. I have about 10 days to decide.
I agree that it would be bad if everyone stops supporting a game, but that's how things work. I too must work for free in advance and hope that someone will buy my product when it's finished. I must make it worthwhile first, and then possibly collect some money, never other way around.
