To calculate the "Virtual Start of Training" the "virtual weeks of training so far" are subtracted from the current age of the player to yield the age at which the player put on his sneakers for the first time and started to train. So the idea behind this concept is that the best players in the game are better than the rest simply because they started to train at a younger age (not because they had better skills to start with). The younger this age is, the more valuable is your player, because he has the chance to be better than most other players of his age group (and height) for the rest of his career. Please note however that the tool does not consider potential.

Do you only consider2 positions training?

I've drafted a player that I've decided to build my team around, but I'm sticking with mostly two-position training as I'm still in Div V. I've played around with the spread sheet basing his individual training on focusing at different positions and it's obvious his highest salary will come from basing it on SG... although he never turns into a SG as his strongest position. That doesn't bother me, as the support players I am training along with him are a PG and a SF.

I also tried to force the development toward the Princeton Offense, but no matter how much I adjusted the Data Page stats toward what the spreadsheet seem to favor for Princeton... The coaching Tab still never likes Princeton as the best offense - Rating Wise.

Do you think that Princeton isn't really ever going to be the best choice, regardless of the makeup of the team? Maybe it's just the rating system doesn't take into account that Princeton may somehow reduce the opponent's ratings...

I've also managed to save the Excel version of the spreadsheet in such a way that it works. I still get the out-of-rang errors when I save but they don't affect the overall integrity of the data :-)

Thanks a lot. Your work has really helped me get started on the right foot!

Hi, Josef! Greetings from Belarus! ;)

One of russian users(fomins(39580)) says there is a problem with CP scout.. I have no openoffice so the question is for you.

here are the details:
sreenshot: http://s49.radikal.ru/i124/1004/9c/56f01f5e7e4c.jpg

1. line 3 - the coach's level is 5.
2. line 22 - the player's passing skill is 5, his age is 19.
3. line 6 - required skills(passing=6)
4. Cell AD9 shows that 1 skill-up is required.
5. Cell AD10 shows that 4 weeks are necessary

But the number of required weeks is wrong. The real number should be 1-3, and the practice confirmed it. 4 weeks is too much.

This is what he said. Is he wrong or is there an error in formula?

If your friend puts a 0 instead of the current 1 in cell o28 on the Scout sheet, he'll see correct counts from now on. Will fix in a future release.

khm.. he says it didn't solve the problem. The value is 4.
