lol, you forgot to put what i wrote in quotes.

Ok, so you got fined a few times. Did they ban you for not reporting yourself? If not, please explain what the actual consequence of not reporting yourself was??? There was none. And teams like I'm talking about are actually rewarded for *not* reporting their own BS transfers. (less transfers reviewed = less chances for fines).

If you really want to quibble about "without consequence"... fine. Change it to "without major consequence." The essence remains true. Even occasionally fined frequent cheaters are better off financially than people who don't cheat. And without bans... the more often a team cheats, the better! They won't catch you every time!

That's exactly what a lot of other online games do once they lose control. The focus shifts to keeping things quiet, & punishing those who dare expose cheating. Instead of punishing the cheaters themselves. One fairly popular game even had to remove their forums entirely! (After the community simply wouldn't stand for the coverup). We'll see if BB follows suit or not... (not removing the forums, but on the other part)

Just to clarify on this topic. It is against the BuzzerBeater rules of conduct to publicly discuss specific cheating cases and/or make cheating accusations. So, yes, such discussions may be moderated (I have moderated many in the past) and those users exposing cheating may also be punished (I have at least warned, probably even fined users for using the public forums for that). The cheating report tool is how things are handled, not the public forums. If you feel such an approach is a shift in focus, the shift happened years ago.

(even people that publicly admit to cheating aren't always banned)

Might be a good idea to report these cases. Also please note that not every case of cheating is punished by banning, there are other punishments such as fines.

i havent read thru this whole thread, but this seemed a good example of how the new transfer rules will fail to address this problem.

If they had enacted the change to enthusiasm it would have affected the overall team. If each sold player is a loss of a level of enthusiasm it would have an impact on the whole team.

In this case, a lost level of GS to an overpriced crappy player likely doesnt make a difference.

You may want to consider rewording that....

A sincere question:
When frequent cheating over a long period of time doesn't result in a ban... what's the downside to cheating? Seems like there is none. In fact, cheating seems pretty appealing! (morals aside).

Might be a good idea to report these cases.

They had been reported multiple times. Nothing was done. That's why they bragged publicly. The motivations of those reporting cheaters is sometimes questioned more than the actual teams cheating! (i wish i was allowed to elaborate on that...)

I honestly have no idea what you're arguing then? In this post or your last post.
always i was fined was for players who i put in TL at 1 ... how can i avoid that? i dont understand why people bid so much, but they do it

Clearly wasn't talking about teams like you. I'm talking about teams repeatedly listing $1k scrubs starting at $500,000 ... not at $1. No one is bidding those players up. As they set the sale price themselves.

It's great if you reported yourself & took a fine. Not sure how any of that is relevant to what i originally wrote though?
