Even shorthanded that was a tough team to gain any ground on. Game one seem liked a good game plan at the time—I’ve used it to better success elsewhere—but your guards shredded us. Game 2 was a better overall approach by us, but there was just too much talent to defend. The first quarter went well, but that was it. I think the SIM kept us around in fourth quarter for entertainment value.
Muccioli made quick work of both defenders in Game2. I wanted to use Nobles in The backcourt to cut down on the penetration by Ahipene, but our PF decided to put on his best Karl Towns fouling imitation. Nobles had controlled Muccioli a little better in Game1, and I thought I was safe because their ID was almost identical—almost didn’t get it. Fabula stuffed Liu inside, and our SF Blankenship scored a little early but was shut down the rest of the game by Zuniga. When Nobles had to move to PF, Ahipene abused our backup PG. The GE gave up on the size mismatch I set up at SG, after it met with some success in the first quarter of Game2–not sure why. It was an exercise in futility anyway I set up, but a good times no less! Good luck going forward.
