And by the way, "Joe" was Joetheshow, the italian guy, not me (I think) ;)
I think you think correctly, I thought the guy turned on you because you criticised his U21 coach. I was wrong, Italy is indeed at 63% 86+, 50- as fierljeppen said, not that this is indicative of how good or bad the coach has been. I mean it could just be that 16 Dutch managers have no clue about whether their coach is good or bad or, more likely, they just didn't bother changing their vote after the elections (single candidate).

We have won by 1, with a perfect GDP, against no GDP and with an enthusiasm at his maximal possible value.
Same story really, but obviously the closer you are to the end the higher the incentive to use Enthusiasm. It's the same reason why it's mind boggling to Normal Poland in the second game and losing by 20.

Also as you or someone else said, you need to consider the possibility of other teams also crunching and winning (whoever said was right that it's fair to assume not everyone will behave rationally), but in the end the guys who will get to the end are those who saved Ent and playing someone who crunched is a pretty safe way to save Ent.

If you did Crunch I think you'll lose in the next round, just like Holland, barring some miracle with GS. Note also that the argument about seeding is more pertinent for you (as Nachtmahr also mentioned referring to England Senior who are no. 6) because Belgium is currently around 10th place and not in the mid 20s.

And Joe, our coach has a 94% approval rate, yours has 63%... and rightly so, in both cases.

Lemon's already commented on this, but since I'm the one who deserves 63% approval apparently, I'll join him in pointing out how wrong your statement is. As already pointed out it's actually 81%. Why do you think mine should be 63% and the Netherlands coach should have 94%? By any rational comparison I don't think I've done 31% worse than your coach.

I preferred to give my team a chance to win, and to go on in the tournament by trying to do something tactically instead of just pressing CT. In the past I've referred to that as mugging. But each to their own is beautiful of course.

You're right Manon, same here.

It was quite easy to grasp my percentage, but it was too difficult for the good sir.

As it looks to me though he was willing to risk it all in order to be able to get an extra game. Something he also got.

He didn't really risk anything. Playing CT vs TIE isn't a risk. Its basically throwing away the future for one small moment.

Nah mediocrity is sacrificing the season to win a game very far away from the final. It is like crunching the defending champ
Most teams winning the senior consolation tournament are between 20-30 in size. Holland is 34th. Ukraine of course is 33rd. Unless you really believe that they had 4% chance to win on a CT and absolutely 0% to win on a Normal.

Me and Gully have had our large share of disagreements and if you go check the English forums you will see much worse stuff than the nasty exchanges you had on the Canadian boards at the time Sparky was your coach. Read that and tell me again about our bromance lol. Logic is logic, that's it...

Wanna perhaps ask Darkonako why he's TIEing every game in the U21 worlds even against US and China? Ask him why he's reducing his chances on single games. Is it perhaps because he's trying to win the tournament? Sure his starting odds were much better but he's doing his best to maintain or improve those odds. Reducing your chances from 1% to 0.1% (for the tournament) is the exact opposite.

Maybe next worlds Pakistan can NOR Spain and get a win, and save enthusiasm for future games too! 'Cuz anyone can beat anyone right?
I never claimed that anyone can beat anyone, that random results happen, others did. In fact if you read I said that based on the actual statistics and play-by-play the game makes no sense. You gave Holland a 3-4% chance of winning. I just explained the logical conclusion of such an opinion.

Pakistan is a micronation they are not a nation with a full D2 which should be enough to field a decent lineup. Holland already proved against Serbia that it was more than decent as a team at that level.

In any case it's a free world. You want to commit suicide? Waste your Ent and crunch all you want and by all means go out gun blazing. Want to win even though the chance is slim? Save your energy for the long run. I really can't believe people who think there's always a chance are also those who say prioritise a battle over the war.
