Alec Cockayne (36038436)
Age: 18

Potential: hall of famer

Jump Shot: mediocre Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: atrocious Handling: atrocious

What shall I do?

Who are your other trainees? (Or are you willing to make the HOF your main trainee for many many seasons?)

The HOF needs a bunch of outside defense right off the start or he'll be useless.

Alec PRO: easy ability to become a quality NT player
Alec CON: it would take too many training weeks to make him salary efficient

I'd keep him but I'm pretty casual right now. If you have higher team aspirations, it'd probably be best to sell him.

Those two players could conceivably be trained together for a season, but anything more than that is pushing it. You'd probably get best value selling one of them now.

Yeah, I know I've looked for a good big trainee for a few seasons now. Had no luck with the draft (low potential), and buying a young big is normally out of my price range.

How much OD do you want on him? 8? 9? 10? I would get that out of the way now. Keep salary low for next year.
Then start playing him in position and pound those inside skills.

Depends if you want him to be more small ball orientated I would personally go for a bit more JS and Driving, (Handling and passing pops would be ok too.) but mainly JS and one vs one training.

If you wanted something non-cookie cutter, you could slap on a little more ID and then lots of SB.

Otherwise, to make him a scoring SG something like (JS 1v1F JS OD) ( ) again, JR, ( ) again.

I'm sure you've talked to Damian by now about NT?
