Even if you dress 9 engine can still screw you. Rare but it happens. Ask jbmrock or dig that thread in bug forum.

That's true, dressing 9 is not a complete guarantee. It's just very helpful in a blowout situation, and will work most of the time.

Last season, I did have one game where my PF was substituted out with 70 seconds left for no apparent reason, with another starter coming back in for him. The starting PF ended up at 47 minutes for the game. This seems to only happen very rarely though.

Were up by single digit margin? Maybe free throws was the key?

I think that another thing happens - that somehow one of that sub decides to play on different positin than he should, albeit only for some minutes.

I was up by 32 points at the time, and there were no injuries or anything like that. I was definately very surprised when the sub happened.

in my last game in season nine (15428159) I dressed 9 and the two trainees got each 48 minutes, because there wasn't backup for them and all the other positions got backups.

Well. you didn't win in a blowout, so that's not really an example of what I was talking about. Having extra players dressed normally only causes issues if you are up by more than 20 points in the 4th quarter.

Yeah blowouts can cause the most problems with playing time i went into a game with 7 players with a backup PG and SG. End of the 3rd quarter my C was replaced by my PG, i was peeved.
