It said so on the internet, so it must be true!

Wait, what about this?
According to a 2008 Harris Poll, American football is the number one sport in America, followed by baseball, then American collegiate football followed by auto racing, then hockey then pro and collegiate basketball along with golf are all tied.

i believe in basketball it culd be the truth ;) At least in europe, nearly all professional team have some americans in their rooster and often in Keyroles - i beleive that showed a bit how many Players the american teams got in comparision to the rest of the world(and this should be a result that basketball is very popular sport)

PS: who the **** likes to watch golf?

According to a 2008 Harris Poll,

It said so in a poll, so it must be true! ;-)

Polling is dead as a survey taking method, whether it be telephone polling or (gasp!) internet polling. If you want me to list all the reasons why, just let me know and I will do it.

You have only added to the point I was trying to make, which was that any sort of appraisal of the most popular sport in America is going to be suspect.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I'm not sure if 20.000+ is a realistic number on the short term, however I do agree we should be able to attract way more managers from the USA. Some good points were made in this thread, and it's not as easy as it sounds to increase the userbase with 1000% in a short time.

If you got any suggestions that might help BuzzerBeater USA to grow to 20k, or just suggestions that help BB grow in general, please don't hestitate to send them via BB-Mail or email if you'd like.

I’m sure that now the Winter Olympics are over, Americans will start signing up for BB in large numbers now. Americans give so much attention to the Winter Olympics and counting medals that we’ve had so little time other things. I for one haven’t eaten in about three weeks since I live for curling. I haven’t even gone “tourist tipping” by Macy’s in a month (it’s a New York thing, which is great fun, and a warning to all you tourists not to gawk or walk too slowly in front of the Macy’s store windows during lunch time…). No more hanging out at the bar watching reruns of the day’s downhill skiing events or synchronized bobsled dancing highlights.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!
