I'm liking the new draft picking system a lot, even if I'm yet to find a decent player to "interview" yet. The "word on the street" is really quite inaccurate and I think I would like to have seen the ability to see a player's position when you run a scouting combine too.

For where I'm going to be drafting this season (likely in the 10-12 range) I don't think it really makes any sense to spend a lot on scouting, but on the other hand I'm also wondering if I spend more and use my scouting points wisely I might uncover a gem of a player that the streets had unfairly rated as a dog.

Either way, this new system adds a great extra dimension to the game, unless of course I don't draft a good player in which case it sucks.

seems like a nice change and requires some careful though on how you spend your points.

if the "word on the street" for both of us are the same, there might be a gem who is a 3star player that nobody bothered to look.
But if the "word on the street" for us are different, then there really isn't any "gems" that we can exploit.

(btw, thanks for letting me know that the world on the street for our draft is fairly inaccurate :D)

This was something that I was wondering too. I have no idea if our "word on the street" ratings will be the same or not. It could be that what I am seeing as a 3 ball could be showing as a 5 ball on your list. I'll have to read through the global forums later to see if a BB or GM has clarified this.

I want to know who these "people on the street" are and hit them on the head with something hard because they seem to know little about basketball.

Well I got a C with 5 ball star rating and 5 ball potential with a height of 7'2. The only problem is that he is 19.

reply to my post in our forum. I posted what I see there from the draft link there.

Do we have any idea if players 1-48 are the same for everyone in the league? I'm willing to compare with a fellow Naismither to find out.

draft is pretty much over for me. made group demonstration, everything looked good. then scouted 6 players individually and all of them turned up to be 19yo and only one with 4 star potential

This is true: although in general, the best players should be at the top. Or at least they would be if the initial impression was any good.
