Actually the game manual are updated more often than people think. To the opener, some of the new stuff like the salary floor will be on the game manual soon.

On the other hand, there exist paragraphs that have had no relevance since season 3!

For games older than season 3, the coaching rating is an indicator of the quality of your shot attempts compared to the average quality of the shot attempts you should be able to get with the talent you have on the floor. A good offensive gameplan will give you a high Coaching rating, and a good defensive gameplan will make your opponent's Coaching rating lower. The All-Star Game will continue to list Coaching rating as well.

Considering this notes something that is used every season, and also is used in the archives, how does this not hold relevance?

I fail to see the relevance of season 3 to the current game.

All-star games produce the least realistic stats/results/game conditions. Why these games are still played using the ancient season 3 match engine is a mystery. So who cares about the coaching rating for this ludicrous event when it has not been used in a real match for over 10 seasons? No one cares, not a single honest, truth-telling soul.

The games are still in the archive, and the All-Star Games generate a coaching rating - that's why it's included in the manual.
