i would say it neither that or this ;) With lot of 1 on 1 training you get lot higher total skill point before training slows down, and multiskilled gain more total skilled points then three/four skilled one before capped but will come to a lower salary. For me it is something in betwen, so the skilled are weigted but sligthly different then with the salary(but the salary is the better estimation)

Nothing has been proven definitive...as most of BB's mysteries! lol Tangosz made a good post above me that I tend to agree with. CrazyEye seems to have a little bit different view....again it wouldn't be BB if this wasn't the case! haha

I'm guessing the cap is based on the combination of total skill points and the value (in terms of salary) of each skill point, with a heavier weight going to total skill points. I'm pretty sure CrazyEye was saying the same thing. Also, I think there are probably sublevels for each potential.

I'm curious how my capped allstar (Calis) stacks-up to other capped allstars. He has 97 skill points (not including Stamina and FT), with the highest being in JS/OD/Handling. Does anyone have an allstar with more total skill points?

not really ;) I say that there is a different weigth formula for it , and that salary is the better indication then total skillpoints. But i say that it matters for a c if he had 9 or 1 JS, even when it didn't count to the salary.

(3165648) - i have one capped with 83 and he got some skill ups after the cap. Which should be a sign that it isn't just the number of skills. Sure could be also different subs in potential, but i also had an perenial allstar who had less skill points and was capped(even when the difference was small and he had secondaries).

Edit: I believe in a weighted formula liek the salary, which isn't the salary function. Maybe one general function for all position which include all skills, and make main skill more important just through their ^X part.

The elastic effect is definitely helping his passing skill get raised. After two weeks of training passing he has recieved two pops up to strong.

I can give you three examples of allstar guards that their managers were sure were capped. I noted them because I also have a guard (now capped - 1 pop for this entire season) who I was worried about.

Your guy
Jump Shot: sensational ↑ +1 Jump Range: prolific
Outside Def.: wondrous +1 Handling: prominent +1
Driving: prominent +2 Passing: respectable +2
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: pitiful

oops got to go - Ill add them later...Sorry
