I think where befor the CT or TIE had a direct influence on the ratings, and not on the player skills, now it has an influence on the skills, and not on the ratings.
However, if your player's skills become higher because of the CT or lower because of the TIE, they will indirectly influence the ratings, no?

All well, but
Right now, Take it Easy and Crunch Time affect the skills of the players; for example, the same player will behave as if his rebounding skill is higher when the team is playing Crunch Time. In the new version, his rebounding skill will remain the same, but he'll have a better chance at getting to rebounds that come down between players. You can think of the combination of these changes as our decreasing the random factor by averaging more dice, and then Crunch Time as a way of weighting the dice in your favor.

hm, maybe it's the other way around then, where before the player's skills where raised, and therefor indirectly the ratings, now the skills do not raise, but maybe they directly raised the ratings...
doesn't sound right either...
I don't know anymore.

what about enthousiasm? do they affect the ratings like before, that could be the explaination... maybe TIE or CT do not so much affect the actual game itself (but only the enthousiasm level afterwards, and the 'luck of the dice') , but the enthousiasm at the time of the game might...

I would say yes... concerning enthousiasm...
Because what other logical explanation is for this:

Your team effort for this game: Normal
kk rajvosa put more into this game than KK Gazija.

And this was a SC game!!! No option for TIE and Crunch...

I got a similar message:

Your team effort for this game: Take it Easy
Südbaden Giants put more into this game than Celtics.

But I have no Idea why the engine thought I play TIE, I reported it in the Bug Forum.

It seems like the bug where you can copy match instructions from a game where you could TIE or CT, and this way play something different from Normal in a SC game is still around.

hmmm CT and TIE are still having influence on player's skill?? if answer is positive so i'd rather have some possibilities to hide my team effort:/

now it's impossible to supprise my rivals in this way:/

i have only chance to supprise them by players rotation:/

it's sad:/ because from beginning i'm trying to hide my true players skills

(i can get to Playoff just in TIE so now they know that i have some skills to fight for higher league and they are aware of this situation)

As far as I understand the changes to the CT/TIE rules, they no longer affect ratings but do affect peformance in that they modify the random-factor.

Here's where I start speculating: when a player takes a shot, the ME takes into account the offensive/defensive matchup, adds in a random factor (like a + or - to the result) and compares the result to a predetermined number that indicates success. If you CT, the random factor is boosted in your favour. If you've TIEd, the random factor goes in your opponent's favour. If neither team has CT/TIEd, then enthusiasm is compared and the team with the greater enthusiasm level gets the advantage. The skills of the players haven't changed, but the result of each and every event on the court that uses the random factor is affected.

I could be wrong, but that's how I think the BBs have worked it.
