I played 4 games in PO, and won the title.
QF - Home; SF - Away; F- Away; F - Home
Profit= $-241.347

Scenario 2:
If I lost in SF:
Profit= $163.085

Scenario 3:
If I had not qualified for PO:
Profit= $592.585

Something like this does not happen in real life.
In real life - if you are winning then you make money.

Yes, in real life, if you pay the players too much money and then win the title, they give it all back and make you cookies beside. What's the heck, Buzzerbeater?!

No, in real life if you win the title you get bonus, as we get in the Cup Tournament and BBB.

The problem was that you,despite being the strongest team (with the highest wages) in the league,did not have the home court advantage and incomes from the palace in the SF and in the Finals,so you played 1 or 2 games(if you win the Finals in game 3 with HC advantage)
In BB the economic bonus come from playing in their court and having higher incomes during playoff time,and while it can be discussed if also 1st division teams deserve a prize when they win the league as it happens in the lower divisions,you should have known that with the actual system you would have lose money to win your league,playing only 1 game in home between SF and Finals

Uh, no, sorry, you don't.

If you don't believe me, just look at soccer's europeans teams (such as Real Madrid, Barcellona, Manchester Utd, Manchester City, Chelsea, etc...) where owners buy (and pay wages to) big champions... they win national championship, champions' league, international cup and all the stuff... and still they're losing money.

Also Steve above me pointed out a good argument.

Great comparison:
When Barcelona win the Champions League, UEFA give them the prize of about 40 M €.
When Man Utd won the Premier League, FA give them the prize of about 15 M GBP.
Premier League (I.1) in BuzzerBeater only competition without prize.

Interesting indeed, I'm going to be honest I'd never heard of a cash bonus to the winning team, we do not have that in America. I do agree with a bonus for winning D.I.

If money was awarded it would be an invitation (a good help) for the same teams to stay up on top of their leagues for many seasons, and that probably would make some users give up the BB (by making their chances even harder).
I think this is the thought of those who created the game.

Edit: Don't forget that you have extra-cash when playing BBB (i think, not sure - anyway if not it won't change my idea on this subject).

You have bonus because next season you have better attendance or you keep the same high attendance if you already won the league previous season so it's a long term bonus rather when short term.

If you can win a cash bonus, you'll start to pay more wages to get there. So that does not work at all.

You knew with those wages, you would lose money short term (you'll get more die hard fans the next season etc.).

I do however feel that it seems* we got a 'strange' situation in BB. But that's only for teams who already win their second PO final game, and cannot play their third. They miss out on the ticketmoney of the third game while teams who need a third game do get that income.

* = I said it seems because it might be compensated in the amount of hardcore fans for the next season, or a better score at the fan survey. It would however be nice to know if that's the case or not.

Because I'm in that situation, I think it's strange too. Why not replacing Gate receipts by winning primes, like in tournament? I mean:
- you are in PO => prime (to have an advantage to finish 4th instead of 5th)
- you win the first PO round => prime
- you win the conference final => prime
- you win the championship (in 2 or 3 games) => prime

Having the HCA is allready a big advantage to win; I don't see the interest to have also more money because playing at home.

This could be another interesting point for discussion.
In my opinion the HCA should not be so "big" as seems to be.
