Thanks for the clarification. It is not that it is illegal, I just thought it was a bit bizarre.

In the particular case I am talking about (46:06), I was up 11 and the opposition was shooting free throws. When I got subs before free-throws, a PF with awful rebounding and was sent in, so it definitely wasn't the 'rebounding' unit.

Following your suggestions, the only reasonable explanation is that the coach was doing offense-defense subs, and fielded the high defense guys. However, I don't see how these are necessary when the team is shooting FTs. I guess one can assume this was a conservative approach in case the second FT is missed and the other team gets an offensive rebound, which isn't deprived of logic.

Oh, and while we're at the new changes: is there any reason why the middle column of team ratings in the new box score is so narrow it has to go on two lines? There is so much space to use horizontally, and this makes the page unnecessarily long.

This is a minor issue, but should be fairly straightforward to fix.

I'll take responsibility for this one. I hacked together the new page pretty quickly, and didn't foresee this becoming a problem. It'll get fixed by Monday, hopefully.

I know you guys have been working really hard to make the game's last minute more realistic and we do appreciate your effort.

But there seem to be at least a couple of things that require some adjustments.

a) In my game today I was up by 38 points with one minute to go and still my opponent attempted the foul + 3 point shot strategy to fill in the gap.

b) 3 point shots taken after less then 5 seconds should be at very low percentage. In particular, 3 point shot following a timeout and taken after only 2 seconds seem to be to easy to make. In this game it happens 3 times out of 4 in the last minute. Look at it and tell me if this is a realistic end of a game in your opinion.

thanks for the prompt response.

One more thing if I may :)
The team ahead should as well try to give (and keep) the ball in the hands of his best FT shooter... is this already happening? It did not look like it in my game...

the team ahead gets the ball into the hands of its gaurds, the team behind tries to get it into the hands of a poor FT shooter. the team ahead tries to put its best FT shooting team in (well a compromise between starters>best players> and best FT shooters)

Second Team:
Utah Jaff
(http://www.buzzerbeater.org/BBWeb/reportmatch.aspx?matchi...)

In the fourth quarter my team is loosing 102-105 the last action is like this.

0:01 - Jill Ramsyer ends the possession with a defensive rebound.
0:01 - 30 second timeout called by Ffeppola (my team).

At this point I thought my team would try to tie the game with a 3 point shot. But the game continues like this.

0:00 - Jill Ramsyer collects the rebound and goes back up for the shot, guarded closely by Stefano Piovani.
0:00 - Scored.
0:00 - End of period.

It seems that the defensive rebound before the timeout has magically become an offensive rebound, forcing the player to take a 2 point shot (so that I lost by 1 point, aaaargh!). Maybe it's some kind of bug?

Nothing? It's been forfeited, has been played with lucky fans to get minutes for training, and 25-0 has been assigned as the final score. That's the way it's supposed to work, no?

edit: Except there are no minutes assigned to the non-walkover team, heh. Representational bug?

that is what I was pointing out :)
But it is not a representational bug because even in the players page they appear to have played 0.6 or 0.2 minutes...
In the match viewer there are all statistics correctly though.
