If you have some idea for changes as you think this teams should have even worse conditions you can bring some idea on suggestion forum (22297.1). But unless there is any change implemented there is nothing wrong on this strategy.

We're ok there's nothing wrong, but when you plan a 48min for a player alone and you take only 36 min because of the forfeit, that's a little bit raging and disrespectfull no ?
that's my point of view

Yes, that is for me issue but it's not the same as tanking. As I mentioned before tanking team in terms of future use of tanked money should train players.
I think if you forfeit home game you should gain no attendance money. If you forfeit away game you should gain no attendance money next home game. But again it's idea which belongs to suggestion forum (and I think it has been discussed there recently).

legal doesn't mean right.

I'm a firm believer that every team should always try to win and that shouldn't be even a rule. The salary floor is a nice punishment. Now that you say it, i'd probably suggest that a team that forfeits should have a $$$ penalty.

How can not showing up be ok?

It's ok. I just remind you that this is not right place to discuss it if you want any change.

i think Bb is created around tanking, not in that extreme like here. But you often have the question to sacrifice games, to build up enthusiam, manage your minutes from your stars(especially during the cup) and training your players(especially off position)

i also think that the BB should change something about it, but i think it is more urgent to make it fair for the opponent. I prefer the solution, that they play a "bot" for minutes and training instead.

And the punishment for teams could also be harder, but not to hard cause i think most of the forfeits are due faults etc. then purpose.

I agree that it appears that there is no specific rule against it. However, in the Rules of Conduct there is the following sentence. “in the interests of keeping the game fun and fair for all users”

While a claim could be made I suppose that this is a valid “tactic”. I don’t believe that it promotes the game being “fun” for others in the league, and in no way can one claim it promotes fair play. His team did make the playoffs last year with no players on it! Which cost another person a chance at promoting.

While not an issue this year, what would happen in the NBA if the Miami Heat decided to not put players on the court and forfeit games to get a better draft pick, while still getting TV revenue on the backs of other teams? Think Stern would allow it?

isn't that exactly the situation, the owner lock the players out but i think besides boston who are promoting their television they got the money for it ;)
