There should be no relation. The Rebounding stat is used to calculate the likeliness to grab an offensive rebound, not driving. Because when you drive, you need skill to keep possession of the ball and not turn it over. Whereas, people aren't gonna try and stop you from standing under the basket. What I mean is, you have nothing to lose possession of. I firmly believe that the rest of the procedure(boxing out and actually grabbing the rebound) is purely based on the Rebounding skill.
Maybe players grabbing defensive rebounds after block shots is a good piece of evidence to how perfect the Game Engine is........
