Don't worry, there's no miscalculation. The merchandise values will normalize as the season goes on, with the biggest difference next economy update.

My merchandising dropped as well down to 35K, 5K below series average that looks like horrible as well. Last season SF, 6 rounds in Cup, just bought a super center at a ridicolous price, and getting nervous as I see a deep red in weekly balance

I think last seazon it was low first week too, about 19k for me, then i had like 27k season average merch. Now its 33k after i promoted only 6k increase but i hope, and i am pretty sure i will get 40k or so next week.
