I don't think they care what country you apply to as long as you don't have multiple teams. I believe they encourage your own country, but I recall someone telling me I could go bot and compete in another country if I really wanted to

I also like the idea of a BeNeLux league.
NT teams could be seperated and remain to their country because else we would have 3 countries with a larger draft pool and a more efficient combined NT.
Going bot and literally throwing away my progress over the last ten seasons, so that I eventually land into the desired country is out of question for me. Some fellow Lux players think about leaving this BB country too and I am certain that other smaller nations feel the same . As an example, most of D.1 teams of Luxemburg are maybe good enough to play D.3 in bigger countries like Spain, and I wpuld struggle too .

I know that I won't get the special privilege from BB , but I'd like to make you all think about this problem/inconvenience and maybe even consider to create "new leagues" , like Benelux, Carribean etc.. Maybe even implementing such leagues for bigger nations for the Ex-Yugoslavian or Baltikum states.

I remember the opposite. My former roommate wanted to start a team in Macau and when I asked I was told its not possible, because of whatever reasons BB has ("basketball reasons" probably xD).

You have to live in the country you play. If you move to that country then you can allow this team to go bot and start a new team. In this case the poster said he lived only 40 km from Belgium and was only told that they may allow it.

I had a former leaguemate (he went bot recently) that signed up in the USA, when he was living here at the time. At some point, he moved to Panama, but since he signed up in the USA, he was allowed to keep his team.

Oh seriously? I could have sworn I asked someone in the mibbit chat about what if I wanted to play in the US instead (because of the higher competition) and remember being told that I'd have to go bot and then make a new team and select US instead of Canada

The idea about interregional leagues is very interesting, and could potential boost the leaguecompetion in small countries.

The only problem, as I see it, is whether the national teams likewise is to merge. Call me a nationalist, but my commitment to a regional national team will not be the same as my current and independent national team.

I don't know all the history of these discussions, but it seems you could solve two problems at the same time by ...

1. Allow Supporters to buy extra teams in micronations to boost competitiveness. Then more new users will stick around, too.

2. Block all transfers/scrimmages between any owner's multiple teams. If an owner got two teams eligible for BBB or something, just allow the higher-ranked team only. I'm sure there's a way to avoid the problems.

3. Reap the reward of additional interest in smaller countries and the cash made by selling loyal, committed players more of what they like.

Is this impossible programming-wise? Are there fears of cheating that can't be addressed effectively?
