I've grown two/three of my starting five, so I doubt I'm far behind you in merchandising. I'm just paying a lot of wages and I'll have to stop that for a couple of season if I'm going to replace the oldies.

Why no crunch in a one off final??

Surely it would have been enough??

I don't think Park needs me to speak for him, however, I did the same last season in D2. Its almost always the right strategy to normal game 2, and crunch game 3, especially when you're at home.

It went wrong for me but I still think its the "correct" strategy. Had Park won yesterday, and it was close, the enthusiasm boost he would have had today would have been substantial, and he would have felt he was a big favourite to win today, even on the road.

Of course I suspect Park thought, as I would, that Elmacca wouldn't crunch. And Elmacca knew Park wouldn't.

So congrats to Elmacca on his win. Commiserations to Park.

The injury to Esposto didn't help Park either, he looked on top until he went off

Yeah that was the plan, it's the strategy that makes most sense when you don't have home court advantage. Elmacca would have probably been safer playing TIE as well rather than taking that risk, but the team was good enough to pull it off anyway so fair play. Congrats to him, he'll be pleased with that.

That's the risk of stacking your top 5 at the expense of having decent backups. On a good day you're unstoppable, but an injury or a foul out (or both) on this occasion and you get found out quick.

Actually, the same thing happened to the same two players in the Cup final as well so no prizes for guessing who's gonna be first out the door.

I'm 8 deep with 2, maybe 3 superstars but nearly all my guys are aggressive players, Park's 6 deep with 4 superstars. 2-3 close games for me is better than all in on 1 game.
Took me a while to figure that out.

Hi,

Yeah sorry my bad I didn't see you had tanked game 1... I guess if you win going normal you have a chance in 3rd game.

Great season anyway and looking forward to new draftees tomorrow :)
