I had a cup sf and final last week so decided to train GS, cause the week before, 2 of my best pg/sg players minutes were over 80+. So I nedded my backcourt in form for the final push for the title. Actually, I really dont remember when i last trained gs, if i did it at all. Of course I havent trained it this season for sure. So this is what happened:
240k pg with 81 mins and 8 gs stayed in the same GS (ok not bad but could have been better)
122k sg with 120 mins and 9 gs changed to 8 GS.(considering the minutes and previous GS maybe ok)
188k C with 66 mins and 8 gs changed to 9 GS. (minutes were good enough to have 9 GS even without GS trainin)
184k pf with 64 mins and9 gs changed to 8 GS.(pretty sad. should have been 9. minutes perfect + GS training)
88k C with 70 mins and 8 gs stayed same. (Same here. should have been 9. minutes perfect + GS training)
84k PF with 74 mins and 8 gs changed to 9 GS. (Good, but here the minutes were also good enough for good GS).
11k C with 97 mins and 8 gs stayed the same (i guess ok).
So basically, the only good thing was that 120 min guy with 9 gs lost only 1 level in gs and didnt lose 2. Other than that, I had the feeling that game shapes couldnt have been worse, even if i didnt train GS.
So my advice would be that, if you have players in good minutes, its not worth training GS (of course if you dont have trainees and dont care about that).
