I must say that I dont use coach Parrot ,so I dont know anything about that.
No its not a simple feeling its my own experience,I have trained my players to Dutch NT this way.
Now I have 3 Dutch players in our NT and all of them I trained OD first and later JR .
I did this also many seasons ago with player JP Stienstra ,and he came to 100 caps for the Dutch NT .
There are many managers using this "trick" ,and we advice Dutch managers to always train OD first and JR later.....And it works:)

In Spain we have Subidito, who trained a player first in OD until level 21 and then he continued with JR. I can link you the thread where he posted about the OD training. Unafortunately I can't remember him doing something similar with JR in public (I know it popped good because he's a fiend of ine and showed me every week):

If I can find some pics or a thread from him showing how JR goes up with that OD, I'll post it here.

Coach Parrot is a very comprehensive tool, and i would advice to start understanding training with it.

However it is based on sample study and there is a stage where you know that the samples might be flawed or biaised. The samples where taken years back and people where not always testing all the training paths.

There is in coach Parrot one error that i know of, for a very high and highest skill regarding the average it shows a very slow gain where you really earn twice or more. This is due mainly to the cross training badly implemented. Of course i discovered that while I had'nt had access to my PC and continued for weeks a training that i wouldn't have done if i had used Coach Parrot to the letter.

If somebody says something you might have to listen to it. And try it if you beleive in it. I tried training JR, but i had already high Dr=Ha=OD so I cannot conclude anything(*). And yes i read threads that has shown some compelling points towards an elastic effect from OD towards JR equivalent to the one from Dr/Ha towards OD.

(*) other than it was a lot quicker than what Coach Parrot was saying.
