... and the best position into account.
Are you sure about this?

The position affects the way salary is calculated, I am pretty sure about this.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

So does that mean that a player listed as Center with 190 cm that gets trained as a SG and keeps his "big like attributes" low will get "farther in training" than a 190 cm listed as SG? Assume the second SG's "big like attributes" the same as the first.

lol just read through my post and it's pretty confusing...

It simply means that the same skill can affect salary in different ways depending on what the suggested position of the player is.

Salary, yes. But potential softcap? Isnt the softcap based on the sum of all skills?

The soft cap is just a number. To determine whether a player has reached his potential, this number is compared to a variable, which is calculated in a manner similar to salary.

But that's provides extremely unfair advantage depending on what the suggested position for the player... I for one know of a player of 213 cm listed as PG, that means when he reaches his cap he'll have a much slower salary than other C's with suggested positions as C.

You do know that suggested position can change? If you train a player that's listed as a PG long enough on C skills, he will become a C and vice versa.

No, it doesn't.

He will have exactly the same salary, since salary is based on skills, and height is not a skill. Position is also based on skills, so (1) position will change as you train, and (2) players with similar skills will be listed at the same position in most cases.
