It does says that playing more than 96 minutes in a given week will increse it.

Actually, there's nothing like that in the Rules.

Depends on a script but I wouldn't rule out a possibility that 24 minutes twice brings bigger chance of an injury (if the engine checks per match rather than per minute/possession - I believe the latter is the case, but it could be either way actually)

Since players get injured on a specific play, and not after the game, it would seem more logical that the engine checks for injuries per play, and not per minute or game. Otherwise, the engine must know in advance what players will be involved in what plays, seems a bit cumbersome, at least to me.

He is arguing with someone who agrees that´s the point. Just saying there is no prove for either case thus "I wouldn´t rule out completely..."

I agree, there is no proof either way, unless we get information from the lion's mouth. However, one question that I typically ask myself in such cases is, "How would I construct the algorithm if I were doing the programming" -- some things just require too complicated constructions, and provide too little benefit. But then again, this is just me.
