Yes but anyone can look at a boxscore and say you lost in this and that area. The question now becomes; WHY did his opponent grab more rebounds when the team ratings were in his favour? And WHY did his starting and back-up PF's shoot badly when their PP100 match-up rating wasn't that bad?

My personal opinion; Headless T Gunner used Base Offence. The result is always going to be a crapshoot when you use Base. Don't you know that balanced offences only ever work when versing my team :P?

14 bbstats difference in ratings. Also if someone is able to explain the 4 steals on straight possessions my guard had in the last minute it would be great, because he's averaged less than one over for the entire regular season.

Edit: I would like to add that 2 quarters looked like a blow out one way and the last was a blow out the opposite way

Looks like FCP did you in. Look at his scoring ratings and you'll see how that may happen that he outscores you. You play mtm there, I think you win 99/100 times.

Apologies: FCP = Full Court Press. mtm = Man to man. Full court press drains your players stamina and also if the press is broken it's easier for the opponents to score. If you look at the points per 100 shots your opponent had, they're quite high at every position, presumably because he was able to pass the aggressive defense consistently (his Flow rating was also relatively good all considered). With you playing FCP he was able to outscore your team despite the massive gap in ratings

I wouldn't recommend playing FCP ever again, unless he plays against a robot and he wants a large PD (Point Differential). The ratings' difference was so large that it should win on the road provided that GS (Game Shape) for the 2 teams remains about the same and that he goes for some sensible defensive tactic (Man to man is likely the best option)

Guy in my league still seems sour about this result (he was up 6 going into the last minute) so I'll just leave this here for the BB Global brains trust to dissect...

The most obvious answer is that the PG missed two FTs in the last half minute that would have likely forced another three point attempt, instead of allowing the other team to take the lead with a two point bucket.
