First controlled try of the new Stamina changes and, to be honest, I'm quite disappointed.

Yesterday's game (119389059)

Starter 1 (stamina 9): 41' // Backup 1: 7'
Starter 2 (stamina 6): 41' // Backup 1: 7'
Starter 3 (stamina 9): 42' // Backup 1: 6'
Starter 4 (stamina 9): 41' // Backup 2: 7'
Starter 5 (stamina 10): 39' // Backup 2: 9'

Rounding up, according to the Boxscore, my two backups played 38' (21'+17') in total. My opponent, whose starters averaged stamina 5, achieved only 1' more in his subs than I did, using exactly the same configuration I used. He played fast pace and I played normal.

Last season (according to three tight B3 games)

Starter 1 (stamina 9): 43' // Backup 1: 5'
Starter 2 (stamina 9): 40' // Backup 1: 8'
Starter 3 (stamina 9): 45' // Backup 1: 3'
Starter 4 (stamina 9): 42' // Backup 2: 6'
Starter 5 (stamina 9): 42' // Backup 2: 6'

[Note that there was one stamina 9 starter more than in yesterday's game]

To sum up, in yesterday's game my backups played 38' (rounding up according to the Boxscore) while last season they used to play 30'. This means 1.5' more per position, which would be probably less as my new starter (which is stamina 6 now) increases his stamina.

In order to be coherent with the new exhaustion changes and the promotion of longer rosters, my opinion is that:

- The effect of high stamina on the total amount of minutes played should be decreased in order to allow backups to play more. It does not make much sense that in a 7-man rotation the starter with stamina 9 systematically always plays 40-42' no matter whether the backup is a beast or a mediocre player.

- Regardless of the stamina, backups should play a bit more when the game is tight.

Very good point, mate.

I've just checked that and no, there were not any subs in the early part of the periods for starters with high stamina. More concretely:

- For the starter with stamina 6, there were some early substitutions (after 5' of each quarter or so)

- For the starters with stamina 9-10, there were no substitutions until the last 3-4' of the quarter, which is when all of them need to rest. This means, as you rightly say, that if backups are shared between positions, they will never be able to play more than 3-4' per quarter (which is in line with the results I showed) as the GE cannot anticipate that all starters with high stamina are gonna get tired at the same time.

Players cannot become exhausted during OT.
This is getting more and more ridiculous.

Seriously, could you please revert the game to pre-Marin era?

I dont think this is a good idea. They should study darkonako's post carefully though and find what is going wrong. The truth is he shouldnt be using 7 players and expecting his players to play less than 38 minutes, it is totally contradicting what the BB's are trying to achieve...the use of short rosters. His points are valid though.

If more people with PL games post their data like darkonako did, I am sure the developers will find a solution

Yeah we do look, since it will only be implemented next season, we have time to change the numbers and improve it.

Remember it is on in BBM or B3, so it is important to find a solution for this as soon as possible if what the developers are really aiming to achieve is to reduce the strength of short rosters.

I think it may be a little about his stamina.
For example, a player with stamina 3, his best time on court per week is about 55-70 min;
a player with stamina 7, his best time on court per week is about 65-80 min.
A player with stamina 9 can even pop his shape even he played for nearly 90 min.

So unless your player's stamina is lower than 3 or extremely high (9/10), I am pretty sure you are just unlucky.

btw last season I face this too, my star player stays shape 7 for nearly whole regular season average playing 75 min ( stamina 9) :(, but he finally has 9 game shape in the playoff :)
