Attempting to get this subject reopened.

Being from a small country I am for the idea of merging the smaller nations together. UK, league or Scandinavian league etc. Playing in such a small country means 75% of our game are meaningless, one slip against a good team, means your season could be over as there are know other teams to help you get that loss back & even if you do something of note in the B3, you get no credit for doing it as your from a small country.
I recently won my Div I title & my money jumped for attendance hugely, merchandise to come, so there are big advantages to be had there. Looking for parity as much as possible when competing at the top level, merging countries make a lot of sense.
Teams that don't want to lose there countries flag, maybe we could do Divisions based on country, with the top from each country going into the playoffs to play out? Just a thought.
Anyways, hope this sparks some interest.
Thanks.

Hey B.B. King, can't wait to hear what you have to say on this, after our last little exchange ;)

I can't see why you can't make some logical mergers. For example make a "British" league that would include England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. Each team would keep their own flag, each team's draft picks would have their team's nationality. Each nation would still have their own NT. But for the sake of competition all 4 nations would be organised into one league.

but i would doubt, that a high percentage of teams will forfeit for the nt especially in small nation where this system should work who normally haven't a competitve nt.

Welsh will finish 1 to 8 while scotts will finish 9 to 16 and get and overall better draft.

Teams aren't going to sacrifice their whole season for the NT. Even if the occasional team does it they can't all do it every season. Even if some actually do that then at least they have something to play for. At the moment it is just boring for them with nothing to do and little sense of achievement besides losing every B3 game by 50.

I think the issues this creates are a lot less severe than the current situation. Most nations are fine but there are a few obvious groupings that would improve the experience for their managers.

Africa
South Africa
Ghana
Nigeria
Senegal
Al Maghrib
Al Jazair
Misr
Tounes

Britain
England
Wales
Scotland
Ireland

Carribean
Barbados
Bahamas
Rep Dominicia
Jamacia
Puerto Rico

Central America
Guatemala
Panama
Costa Rica

That is just a start. North Asia, Central Asia, South East Asia, Middle East, whatever you call the area of the former Soviet Republics etc.

The great thing about this is you could actually add more countries like Mongolia, Syria, Sri Lankha, Laos etc, but just have them as part of the regional groups for their league competitions..
