Brutal, but avoidable. You gave up enthusiasm, went OI, and were on the road, and even then all you needed to do was call GDP. Hope you have a quick trip back.

Speaking of GDP I should have gone ahead and doubled down last night, but even then I don't think it would have helped. All things considered though I am very pleased with this season, though it probably is a one off for the immediate future as the older aspects of the squad are on the edge of being issues. And the younger guys though improved are not going to get it done night in night out.

I noticed that Reno goes bot on moving day, so how does that work Of course Reno would just bot but why should JCW take a trip back to the provinces because of a team that now ceases to exist. And for that matter why should the Blasters now automatically go down? Of course all dude has to do is enter the address in his web browser and it will be all good. But if this guy is parting company this creates one helluva paradox in having a relegation survivor relegate anyway.

If they do go bot on Monday, that should occur before promotion and relegation, but I'm pretty sure the way it'll work is that after the normal teams exit the league, and then any bots in the league structure get dumped to the bottom and an extra team will come back up from IV. The newly bot Reno may be dumped to V (I'm not sure since that's now already botland, but if they do some bot will also go from V to IV to replace the spot opened up by bot promotion). Of course, I think there's a small chance that a new team gets Reno in between the time the botification processes and the p/r happens, but I'd feel sorry for anyone stepping into that situation.

In RSC news, Clogs fans are getting geared up for the first visit by the Cal Bulldogs to Splijnterfuuts since Season 17, where a plucky group of Clogs scrubs had a narrow 22 point loss. Highlights of that game include a 4 point third quarter, and 12 minutes of the bench for blanched turd Morgan Menard, who I may have to stick deep on the bench for motivational purposes.

You ever get the feeling like you're being pursued by a dog chained to a post, and you get a few steps into safety, and then spend an hour where he somehow manages to move a few feet closer and you keep taking a step back? That was game 1 in a nutshell. I think the last time I actually trailed was 27-25 to start the second and I think after the 28-27 lead it was never even tied again, but damned if it didn't feel like that at all. After the second quarter and a solid halftime lead thanks to the MVP's buzzerbeater, the Bulldogs were nigh unto unstoppable for a long stretch and then every time it got close and my team tried to establish a little cushion, here came the Dogs keeping pace. When they hit their second straight three to close to 2 points with 11 seconds left, knowing Lajos had already gone 0-2 from the line earlier, I was having visions of another bad trip to the line followed by another 3 to close me out, but luckily Hitch drained both from the stripe, and then played enough defense to "force" a turnover with 3 seconds left.

It's rare for me to have a game that my defense didn't deserve to win and have it bailed out by my offense. I mean, I like that and it's kind of what I'm trying to do with this team, but it's strange to actually see it work.

You really should work on being less delicious, then.

This dog might get off his chain and turn into a poodle.

I only give myself 20-25% to win it all.

So as I take one last chance to Wave good bye, there are several things I ponder.

If it hadn't been for a colossal brain fart on a holiday weekend, I would not have been in this situation,

OTOH, as a team that was dismissed as a "one and done" at the outset, I don't feel so bad that I fell short. It took a miraculous turn of events for me to lose both games, so it wasn't like I was way out of my league. And the fact that I upgraded my team and my stadium while maintaining the same bank account tells me I'm in a good spot.

Furthermore, I've identified a prime prospect. Whether I get it or not is up to the RNG Gods.

I'm a little bitter at how it played out. But overall I can't be too disappointed, Just kinda ticks me off that 2 seasons in a row I got smacked by playing PN. Next season, we seek and destroy,

Long life and good fortune to you. May we meet in battle and you shed bitter tears.

Your a good egg Noonan. Should be a short trip back, unless you end up in a Chuck Norris league ( 53 is particularly brutal).https://youtu.be/cmpRLQZkTb8 speaking of 53, check it out tonight if you can, my very dear friend coach Fillmore and The Brewskies take on WHAIGH and he needs your vibes.

But we have ourselves a little tete-a-tete here in the slaughter house https://youtu.be/x8jhRuZhkRI and it should be a humdinger.

It was definitely a lot closer series than that, and one that I'm glad to be done with. The funny thing is in my post I had referred to Nico-Jan as the MVP but I didn't think the game would actually give it to him, since he played backup minutes almost half of the time.
