Through 14 weeks this season, only 36 of 112 games have finished with a spread of less then 20, thus avoiding the blowout rule. Meanwhile, 40 games have ended with a spread of 60 or more.

You had to work hard to ensure the biggest blowout in the league, though. 115 points barely edged out the 112-point margin in 10inch-AB matchup, both of which made the 97-, 92-, 83- and 74-point games look downright like nail-biters.

You guys sure do play exciting games up here!

I have a feeling my game against the Desert Storm on Thursday won't have much entertainment value either. But it's been fun taking a peek at this league to see what's going on. Mostly tanking, it appears.

Well, that was the first game of the season I've actually completely thrown. I usually try to play a legit line-up, even on the road. But, I don't have a good plan and others are stockpiling money for next season much quicker than I am. Just to clarify, no, I don't have an actual plan, so those transfers I just picked up were a mix of bad football and just enough beer. For some reason I felt it necessary to pick up a 4th 6 figure big and another guard. Well the guard makes sense considering the 3 getting playing time combine for under 100k in salary and all. I think that mistake just made next season a bit worse....

The NBBA is downright ugly right now, but I think stability and better competition is coming. Several teams including mine have taken the time to focus on Arena development and be be in a better position financially to sustain a solid foundation in this league for a long time...Many of the D2 teams that are in line to promote have either been here before, or are solid up and coming teams that already have large arenas and are built to last as well.

Several of the teams that are rebuilding right now and not competing are gearing up to be competitive in the future, so I fully expect things to return to being more fun, and realistic again. Unfortunately because of the way all of the artificial changes that have occurred in the game, and the way the economy has been destroyed (Is Obama president of BB too?), it's created an environment where the incentive to win and compete no longer exists...its actually more financially rewarding to not win. In most top leagues in this game, the champion will lose money if they win the championship.

I understand where the BBs were going with this a long time ago....but in their effort to slow down the top teams ability to earn money thus widening the gap between them and the bad teams...they have swung things the other direction to where finishing in the top 4 is almost a lock to to being a financially losing team or best, a break even proposition...and winning the Championship is so costly some teams would rather not win because they can't afford to. Kind of sad it swung this far in this direction....hopefully things can move towards the middle at some point.

Not sure where those ratings were pulled from, but we stormed the court anyway.

Brian is ALL-IN for B3!!
But for some reason he has 3 guards (counting Nemesio), a PF and 4 Cs? I guess the PF is a SF type and that makes it 4 "smalls" and 4 "bigs" so it works?

This years "i dont see anyone beating" team is San Felipe Stars from Chile. Team is stacked with a 1.6m roster.

Raja is a small forward, allowing nemesio to play more mins at pg/sg.

I was hoping he'd have a fire sale during the league playoffs, but that's not happening, and it's not like I'm adding talent to my team to make a run either.

In other news, Silverbacks can actually squeak into the playoffs...and possibly make it to the 2nd round. He's now got the 3rd highest payroll.
