i just say that a taxis ridiculous if you don't get out of it?

Sorry, again a bit confusing. The idea is to stop arenas from expanding to rediculous unrealistic size, and to not upset anyone who has allready built. As GM Brianjames pointed out, the problem only gets worse in the future. If the cap were 50k like I said (just a #) then new players in season 20 wont look at the arenas of Div I being 150k capacity and say 'whats the use?"

Top teams can still charge more per seat and will still make more money than lower division teams, it will still be difficult to gain ground on them, but not exponentially more difficult as time passes.

I fully agree with everything you have stated in this thread.
It was much easier to expand the arena a few seasons ago than it is now. And this is a fact.
As I stated in other threads, the economy for teams starting now in low divisions is probably a bit too tough and not much fun.

the only variable i see that can get us back on track is the transfer market and that is fuelled by the training speeds of players as well as money...

Training speeds are too slow (IMO) and accumalation of money for small teams is too.... results rarely carry a shock now if the tactics are correct....

Without an improvement from this it will continue to be a slow laborious rise to the summit for those that are patient enough.. but as Brian says those trying to catch will just be arriving at the spot others are now and they in turn wouldve moved on.

How many courtside seats will fit around 1 BB court? All the courts are the same dimension, so do the courtside seats stack on top off each other?

I don't want to go OT but imho of course, training speed is ok, have a look to this guy:

Weekly salary: $ 8 760
DMI: 170900
Age: 19
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: proficient

Jump Shot: prolific Jump Range: strong
Outside Def.: prolific Handling: respectable
Driving: awful Passing: awful
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: average Free Throw: mediocre

Experience: atrocious

I've bought him at 18yo and at the end of next season he will be a good player ;)

so mabe you miscalated and build 50k instead of 49999 seats, in this case you made one time failure and are ****** up for years and years ...

Or maybe you build a lot bleachers, and it makes more sense to have 200 VIp loges instead, because you earn more per seat but can not build any more ...

So if you can not make the step back, in this case make hard caps instead.

And the question was the use is important, as i pointed out before, the positive effect reduces with every seats, so it won't make sense to build to infinite, even now addiitional seats in big arena need long time to get you the cash back and the advantage is very low in comparision to teams with smaller arenas, and this calculation depend that you could hold the league for 8-9 seasons so are very risky.

So you also could say that we need more level 7 coaches, and make then so cheap everybody could afford them ... But maybe it wasn't bad that managers have to ask the what the use question, before they buy a coach even when they don't buy the best at the end.

Top teams can still charge more per seat and will still make more money than lower division teams, it will still be difficult to gain ground on them, but not exponentially more difficult as time passes.

the problem would appear with small arena in a bigger dimension i think.

I agree with that. If my suggestion were taken seriously, a change would have to be made so you could tear down seats....at a price. Then rebuild better. What you pointed out is that building an arena properly would require strategy, an important aspect of the game wouldnt be lost, arena's would still require strategy in being built. With a 50k softcap(taxes on the over), the Bulls (for example) would still have wiggle room to fill out the right kind of seats he needs. Again, I just dont see who loses, but I see this as an improvement on the game for everyone.

I lived in Pasadena for years. There is a stadium called the Rose Bowl there, seats nearly 90k. The city of Pasadena imposed a tax based on possible attendance for any event there in order to pay for the extra police, and wear and tear to the local roads etc. 90,000 people in a three block radius is quite the spectacle.

sure but ned he is allstar potential so there is no rush with these guys.. at 22/23 he will be maxed out even if you only train him 75% of the time...

thats the point - the incentive to buy an uber amazing trainee vs an ordinary one is little different anymore at these potential caps.

We are all on the same conveyor belt - we will all someday have Wondrous JS Wondrous OD guards and Wondrous Big men and we will all have very similar team ratings.. (you can see from the PL's we are already closely bunched together.)

More tactics or faster/different player evolution is needed to spice things up.. player unrest at not starting for example.... announce the hidden attributes... arguing about ROI on arena is pointless... we all discovered long ago you could build and build and thanks to Hambourg we know where we can go if we want to.

Its tricky to just let the reigns off and spark a mad frenzy but we are all now very close clones of one another.... and the outcomes of games now and your on court success are only really being influenced by just doing the same thing slightly faster or slower than everyone else.

Sure, I agree with you regarding more tactics more skills but no change will be introduced this season. Regarding arena, I simply noted that there is someone able to earn 3 times more than my revenue and I will try to follow his strategy.
The idea to related PR lvl to the arena size for me it was great (:D), this is a way to introduce a "taxation" same for everyone. All of us knows that PR is useless now

yeah the PR guy.. and also as ive just got on another reply STH... 2 more varaibles..........

PR Guy... diff between lvl 2 (ive got) and lvl 5 (i had) difference is negligable.
STH (Capped) and most teams in Div 1 have achieved this.

So nice features but again we are all getting pretty much the same as each other from them.
