Actually, with staff transfers it's a bit different. Sometimes, if the transfers get delayed (as that one did), they don't show the red "Transfer ended on ..." text but just remain there as if you can still bid on them, but you can't (your bid just isn't accepted). You can always check if the transfer has ended by comparing the time of the bid (if it has passed, you bids won't be accepted anymore.
