But did you have a lot better player in the sub position? The great player must be assigned to reserve spot to avoid this lineup change.

Did your default lineup play instead of the one you set? I don't think you made a mistake, I'm just trying o get to the bottom of this.

Yeah, the better guy was the backup and reversed PG, and the weaker one was put on the starter, but I think it does not matter who plays the sub, but who I put as the starter. The problem is that the sub PG played as the starter. Actually I did the same thing(weaker played starter, better played sub) last several seasons, and there was no mistake happened before. But this season it happened a few times, and I just want to figure out why. And, I dont have a default lineup. Thanks for your guys' help.

Perhaps now the difference was significant enough for the coach to notice. This has also happened to me some time ago. i have avoided it with using reserve spot when starter and sub have a big difference in quality. You can see minutes for sub increasing whenever you use your backup as a starter. Playing starter sub with no blowout and foul trouble nets you 39 and 9. Playing backup as starter nets you 30 and 18. With even stamina considered and no forced court time.
