And here we are again to talk about tonight`s matches. As you have all observed there were two major derby games (Valentinos vs Pistoleros and Bros vs Megalonisos) We shall give our attention two this two games in semi detail.

1. Val vs Pis: Lets start with the final score. An away win for Pistoleros with a slim score of 85-80. Both teams played at the same level, both teams started the game with their best players and both decided on tactics of neutral attitude. What was the difference? The second line up. Pistoleros managed a 28 points from the bench while Valentinos 18. Although Vale dominated on behalf of the rebounds with 15 offensive, Pistoleros had a better FG and 3FG average, with more steals and blocks. Based on the stats the two teams seemed a bit equal except from the SG position where Pistoleros dominated the court. Overall a big game and a huge win for Pistoleros in their attempt to win the champioship this year.

2. Bros vs Mega: I would characterize this game as an odd one. Lets start from the beginning. Megalonisos managed to win with 94-84. Both teams used their best players as we would expect. Megalonisos played a motion tactics in contrast to Bros who used a more neutral offense. statistically on point average the two teams were a bit equal, not much difference, but if we look the stats analytically Bros dominated the rebounds, but also the FOULS. 23 fouls were called and 26 points were achieved by Megalonisos from the foul line. The devastating quarter for Bros was the second one were the score board showed 22-9 in 12 minutes. What went wrong? We dont know and probably neither the manager of Bros does either. Very dissapointing performance by Bros big guys Svendsen and Kerkidis achieving a 15,5 rating but only 12 points.

Hello once again to everyone.
Today we decided to post this message regarding the development of several teams in CBBA.
1. Valentinos, after a bad start in this season has decided to reform its starting and second line up. The initial SG is now history as well as Koutsoudakis while Fasoulis is placed for a second week in the transfer market to be sold. Surelly the manager has spotted the teams weaknesses and is doing everything he can to improve its team. Needless to say that the manager has purchased Kaprivourkos for 2.8M.
2. Ekleptismenoi have lost in their recent match against Keraynos and thus are now tied with Pistoleros but with a worse scoring difference. No new additions have been seen recently.
3. Bros has sold Aranzana, their PF in an attempt to collect money and bring new blood to the team. The problem is that the team is not nearly powerless under the basket and thus if the manager does not pick a sub soon their will be problems in the upcoming games bot offensively and defensively.
4. Cyprus Fighters have sold Delpeuch and purchased a monster PG,SG,SF at the price of 4.5M. Could anyone overcome this team? Seems very very difficult.
5. Bc teammate, after their defeat by Pistoleros, have decided to acquire Mpririkos for 2.4M. Can the team get stronger with its new addition? The answer is yes.
6. Megalonisos has decided to sell nearly everyone of its players. What is the manager thinking? Dont ask.

Other than that Pistoleros remains with its initial squad waiting for the right time to increase its teams strenght with new blood.

Ok people here is the latest update regarding the top teams of CBBA. To start with we have observed a tendency of nearly all teams to refresh and rebuild atlest their starting line up, lately. We have commented on this before but based on the new data we shall update a bit. Special attention is given to Valentinos who has lately refurnished his entire squad and kept only the good material. Since the last disappointing results Vale decided to sell all the bad staff from his team and started rebuilding. Since then he has added two respectable players, PG and SG. Surely this is the best move to make his team more competitive but the question is whether he is too late to enter the playoffs. Is he really?
Following up is Pistoleros, we would expect the leaders of Great 8 to purchase a great PG/SG but instead the manager decided to surprise everyone by adding a 19 year old player from Canada to his squad. Is this the right move? Time will tell. Cyprus Fighters, CBBA champions have purchased a super SG/SF player from Turkey. There are not much to be said for this player except from excellence in all fields even inside defense. Surely a purchase that will give them the championship for a few more years to come.

In respect to the championship, a huge battle is formed in the Great 8 division as 5 teams are head to head and overall 6 teams are semi equal in respect to their strength. Who will finish first? Only Nostradamus can answer this question correctly!!!! :)

What are the major news this week?
1. Valentinos has started to show the signs of a true CBBA team. After a slow start and a disappointing first half of the season, has managed to win 4 games in a row, from which Bros and Megalonisos. Surely the team is once again considered a dangerous ones and if anyone underestimates their power will lose. Janis Eidaks-Kazušs as well as Ntinos Kaprivourkos seem to have made the difference scoring nearly 20 points a game each. Can Valentinos earn a place in the playoffs? Surely he can if he can remain competent.
2. Paphos is generally characterized as the sparkling team of the CBBA. Currently the team manages to remain in the playoff party with 12 wins and 5 losses. Not much are to be said for this new coming team with a lot of talent. The manager seems to take good care of its players. One is for sure, Paphos will keep growing.

Ok people I know playoffs are just next corner and everyone is trying to increase its teams strength for the final games. Tactics seem to play a major role in these last games so take care. Count your strength and correctly use it where it matters not in every single game. Unless you are in tough spot and need to make all wins in a row.
Here is the deal, last night we had a few derbies, not many but the ones that took place deserve our attention.

1. Ekleptismenoi Vs Bros: Ekleptismenoi until last night used to occupy the 2nd place in the great 8 conference. On the other hand Bros was in a tight spot and needed this win no matter what to stay in the playoff plan. Ekleptismenoi with the home court advantage over the game shape advantage of Bros. Ekleptismenoi decided to play R&G which would be obvious based on the strength of its players, while Bros decided on a motion plan which was considered a good idea after all. Both teams defensively played a man to man game that would benefit Ekleptismenoi more than Bros.
How did the game go down? Lets take it piece by piece shall we?
Bros came in strong 35-12 which I would initially think it might have been due to a possible national appeal but it was not that. Bros played a CT game while Ekleptismenoi perhaps underestimated their opponent and performed TIE. After that there was a dominance by Bros on every quarter except the last where the game had already been judged and set.
Lets break the game down even more.

Bros: 21 assists, 44-80 FG are the major differences. Equal distribution of the game time between players thus keeping them fresh and strong. Tatarkin 24 points in 26 minutes (superb). All players performed at their very best.

Ekleptismenoi: 12 assists, 30-98 FG. 48 minutes by Kakarnakis and Blasco shows the inability of the team to have semi equal substitutes. Something that should trouble Ekleptismenoi in the future. Mato as PG appears to be inadequate based on this one game (perhaps we are wrong judging by one game) and the same goes for Artakos at the position of SF when playing against BIG STRONG BOYS.
Why did Ekleptismenoi play TIE? Finishing in the 3rd position in not good with the home court disadvantage. Finish 4rth means they will have to play with the strongest team of the Great 8. Since they have 2 big games away with megalonisos and Valentinos you would expect the manager to try to win the home game thus if the team losses one of the following games they would not drop a position and keep their second place. Based on our rational it was a wrong move by Ekleptismenoi that might have a disasterous outcome to the team regarding the playoffs.
Basically, since they have a worse PD than Megalonisos, a lose by Jason 1983 will drop them down to 4rth place and everything will be judged by the final games of Pistoleros against Valentinos and Ekleptismenoi. We would expect Pistoleros to play TIE in his last game if he already capitalized on the first place. Nothing is set yet and everything is open. Lets wait and see!

2. Pistoleroi Vs Paphos: Superb performance by Paphos that keep amazing us. A small team from the lower divisions that has developed fast and strong. Although they lost by Pistoleros they gave a respectable fight. I believe we have not seen anything of the abilities to come of this team since they tend to have a good manager, from what we have seen up to now. Paphos remains in the playoff plan but with a difficult scedule ahead of them. Can they make it in the final 4? We can only wait and see.

thats all from us up to this point. And people remember that there is still the contest of forum activity. Something Johnny managed to achieve with sweat. So please join in!!!!

Same here. I started from III division. Actually coming to think about it, I believed it helped me understand the game more. Anyway sorry Gastone for my error. It is true that ever since Paphos entered the CBBA it has never been relegated. Sorry for the mistype! Nevertheless the manager is doing a very good job regarding season 14.

A question for you. I am sure that you read forums regularly. Why you dont post anything? I never saw you on the chat for example.

Me Ekleptismenos, pistoleros, and Bros we are chatting very often. With Ekleptismenos and we have been out for a drink. Some times Kyriakos and Keravnos present on the chat. Why not you? We are very small community and we need everyone. I was thinking to stop the competition since only Pistoleros responded, and i know that 10 euros is nothing for him, but again after several fights that we had on the past he is really trying to help. Why not you? On our conversations told me that he prefer to give the prize to an other manager, but i just cant...

Sorry but I didn't have the time to give a lot of attention to the game..perhaps in the future i will have more. I never watch the games live because i can rarely log in for more than a few minutes. I only have some time in the weekend..sorry but my other obligations are taking up a lot of my free time..i hope that things will change in the future
