I think my guy, Antoine Robichaud might survive the final cuts when he turns 21.

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: prominent Handling: prominent
Driving: proficient Passing: prominent
Inside Shot: awful Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: mediocre Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: inept Free Throw: respectable

Yes guys I know, I know his JR is low.

Two players have been added to the U21 in recent weeks. Germain Demers was called up last week, and has been a productive big man off the bench in his first two games with us. Daniel Chrétien was added for the game this week against Chile. Both players are 20 years old, have MVP potential, and are very good for their age. I'd like to welcome them both to the team, and they are both in a position to help us out for a long time. :)

Germain Demers (13233749)

Demers was drafted by Bedford Barons as an 18 year old, and was sold a week later for exactly $1 000 000 to the Moron Mountain Monstars. The Monstars focused heavily on developing Demers, and he steadily grew into an impact player. Considering his age, potential, and overall skill level, Germain Demers is looking at a very long and productive career at the U21 level. Most scouts even believe that he has what it takes to make the NT one day, if he continues to work hard and grow into a true Mon-star.

Daniel Chrétien (13232109)

A first overall pick of me toos back in the season 11 draft, Chrétien was quickly sold for $1.2 million, and packed his bags for Finland. With his new team, the ministars, Chrétien has been given a chance to build his skills while also playing a key role on the court. Chrétien is proud to be the first guard in his age group to make the U21, and the expectations for him are very high.

Bryan Bessette was called up today as an emergency reserve for against the United States. He didn't end up playing, and will likely have a limited role going forward, but he is on the team. That means he gets a welcome from me. :)

Bryan Bessette (11815464)

Bessette was drafted as an 18 year old by StinkyDinky, and immediately sold for a low price to a team in Lithuania. Under the watchful eye of his new owner, BC Ancient, Bessette worked hard on his inside game, and hoped to play for Canada one day. While he was a long shot to make the team this year, Besette stayed ready all season, and finally got summoned for emergency bench duty. The next challenge for him is to actually get off the bench, and into a game. While his minutes will likely be limited on the U21 team, scouting reports claim that he is an excellent locker room guy, and local media has already started raving about his gatorade distribution skills.

Another U21 callup was made this week, with 20 year old Timothy Austin joining the action. He played backup PG for us this week against Argentina.

Timothy Austin (13232449)

MuffinTops had a great draft in season 11, taking Austin with the 11th overall pick, and Govardhan Mohan at the 47th spot. Both players have developed into great point guards, and have emerged as solid U21 prospects. For several seasons, Austin and Mohan have been trash talking each other about making U21, and Austin finally earned bragging rights by being called up first. While neither player is guaranteed to play for Canada in season 15, they both have an excellent chance to do so, if they continue to work hard and develop their skills (and refrain from injuring each other too badly during practice). For now, Austin will be wearing his U21 uniform proudly, as he will try to make an impact on the global stage.

The last season 14 roster spot for the U21 was used this week, with Conor MacSymon joining the action. At 21 years of age, MacSymon is in for a very brief U21 career, but he should help us out a little bit here at the end of the season.

Conor MacSymon (11817284)

As a manager, coach coach has been an active prospect hunter in recent seasons. With this in mind, it is perhaps a bit surprising that one of his own draft picks became his first player on the Canadian U21 team. Conor MacSymon was drafted 16th overall as an 18 year old, and has been steadily trained ever since. While coach coach himself was skeptical that MacSymon would ever play for Canada, Conor never stopped believing in his abilities, and was very excited to finally get the call. While he won't be on the U21 for long, he is determined to make the most of the opportunity, and proudly represent Team Canada.
