You are right the consensus was split. Everyone (GMs, NBBA, Div 1 etc) against you.

As for your main point. So you really think the best thing they could do for this game would be to stop developing it for a year? Great idea.

Sorry, but I'm sick of this. If you misunderstood what was actually being argued, that's your loss. However, you're derailing this thread for no particular reason, and have intentionally ignored or misunderstood the point I'm trying to get across, which certainly has merit. Misunderstandings seem to be a common theme in this thread.

Except BB-Charles, who said that, in their tests, the 2-3 was fine.

Don't let facts get in the way of your odd rant, though.

I find it odd that these "illogical and incorrect" points have garnered six people to +1 RiseandFire's first post.

The greatest of all time.

Online games are always a work in progress, so no development for a year will absolutely kill this game.

We do not see many changes here anyway and sometimes I wish the developers would be much more active and even do some radical changes - if we had a one year moratorium, this would be a reason for me to quit.

the OP didn't say "no development," it said don't implement any changes that aren't cosmetic.

I'm not anti-change. I'm just anti-reactionary change. If something is to be changed, it's sensible to give BBs time to think about it, and to remove the expectation of immediate change from the minds of an impatient community.

For this reason, a moratorium could be good for the development of the game.

Isnt that the same? I dont see a difference, "cosmetic" changes are necessary, but major changes need to be done sooner or later and I dont want to wait years for them.

Then you're one of the impatient users I'm talking about :p

All I'm saying is that the process a major change goes through before being implemented is rigorous, and the community would be better equipped to appreciate the gravity of changes if a moratorium were implemented.

Threads clamoring for immediate radical change can be disconcerting, and would be more productive if the participants knew there was a mandatory waiting period.

There is also the matter of letting managers play the game as is for a little while, before asking for something new.

It's easier to identify something as broken than it is to identify its solution. When managers find (or think they've found) the former, they tend to beg for the latter. Solutions require thought, which requires lack of pressure, which requires time. As in, a year where BBs can do their work without the community expecting instant gratification.

I think this is a reasonable opinion and I agree with you on that - but again, a whole year?!

A year is like a whole life in the IT world today, thats too much.

Why? There are 60,000 players, I would find it odd if you couldn't find 6 that would agree that the earth is flat and people that believe such things would love to give a ball to one of one of their fellow flat earthers. If I spoke too harshly I apologise. But no changes, for four seasons, what a great way to kill the game.
