Sometimes in a cup you draw a bot and 1-2 great players and 1-2 ok backups can be enough to win easily. Minute management is critical early in the season so a coach would not want to play guys that have already got too many minutes in the cup game. Now I would rather buy a guy off the TL for $1,000 but sometimes teams are in debt and can't do that. So they could set a lineup of 2 great players, 2 ok players and a lucky fan and still fully expect to win.

Yeah, that's a matter of minute management.

I've moved this topic to "Help-English", because there isn't really a suggestion.

Having 4 (real) players against full lineup doesn't mean you lose, sometimes it happens that you actually win. Especially in scrimmages and other less meaningful games when stars of one team resting. I thougt I was clear to understand.

i was thinking in the way that the game engine recognises that there is a player free and get them the ball.

have you seen a game when there has actually been 4 on 5 and a lucky fan hasnt played? i would be interested to see this
