eh? Was just browsing forums, don't usually get on here. Anyways, this guy is in my league and conference, and for the past 3 weeks or so all of his opponents have been beating him 25-0, so I'm assuming he's not gone but just inactive so hasn't set any orders. He must have a default or something set up though, because his players show up in the Game Viewer, they just receive no stats (???) in the Game Report.

Anyways, this guy was really strong early on, it would be a shame to have him get taken down in the best-of-3 relegation matches.

When a team doesn't have enough players for a game, the other team is given a walkover win with a 25-0 score for the standings. The game engine then goes ahead and plays a game, with "lucky fans" coming down from the stands if necessary to fill out the lineup. Lucky fans might only have played BB in gym class and pretty bad. But the game is played so that other team can minutes for training, and stats for the league leader ranking (which requires a minimum number of games).

Per the earlier posts in this thread, he sold all of his players and stopped logging in until a few days ago when I told him to log in to save his team.

i'd assume he still has a decent chunk of change.

From his transfer history:

Total Sales: $ 8 930 000
Total Purchases: $ 1 579 800
Transfer Balance: $ 7 350 200

Yeah he has money. He's a good friend and I'm trying to re-spark his interest in BB. We'll see...

I liked nickfox and his activeness on the forums as well but if he has no interest in coming back then it was a little wrong to have him log in just for the sake of keeping his team. He sold his whole team off which isn't fair to the other teams in his league since now every game he plays is a forfeit. Yes it is an automatic win but it really detracts from the enjoyment of the game as well.

its no different than any other lame duck manager. it also gives him a chance to drop down a level and to be in a competitive situation for his league next season
