As we don´t know exactly how CT works, it would be nice if people can share their ideas in the forum. I find interesting his idea, so I will consider it when I look at some matches. Please, don´t stop new ideas. People will get tired and will not share them with us. Other way, we'll have to continue the discussion in private and keep them only for us...
The new CT engine is creating a kind of minimal threshold in your teams skills. Below these limits, enthusiasm and ratings seem to loose their meaning as they are surpassed by the CT effects. What he is telling is not crazy, please think about it before killing the initiative for a better understanding of what is going on with the new system.
I now some people (probably me soon) that stop posting here because of this, and we all are missing some good discussions.

Can't explain the rebouding results, maybe individual matchups mighth help, hard to say

This is a perfect time to jump in and present some new ideas and evidence for them, plus I said that I didn't understand what he was talking about wrt to CT. There's no GM/BB next to my username.

Disregarding whatever may or may not be going on with CT, 14 point win based on those attack/defense ratings isn't shocking.

What about the rebounding ratings. Can you explain why both teams got similar number of rebounds? I think he proposed an explanation (wrong or not) and you said this explanation was based in absolutely no facts... I am sure you can see that your answer was too agressive and not compatible with dialectics. That's what I meant before. What are your evidences to state that his theory is wrong?

Stated in my initial reply, pasted in the my last response, and here, one more time:

This theory is apparently based on his game, and some other games in some thread that was about "tie-normal-ct", which narrows is down to prob half a dozen recent ones in this forum alone. First, there's nothing from the BB's that have stated this is the case. If you're referring to this:

(25446.61)

That's something that needs to be clarified, but it's hardly a fact. Plus, 1 game, 5 games, 20 games out of over 125k games a week is also hardly a enough to create fact.

I really glad I stumbled into this thread and attempted to provide some explanation and perspective for a WTF match. No good deed goes unpunished.

Couple of things to remember:

1) Ratings are computed after the fact and also show man for man he will hit more shots than you. This means no matter what happens in the game, the rating give you a GUIDELINE to what happened. Bottomline - watch the game.

2) Both teams either had a decent defensive player matchup (I know it was a zone, but positionwise this still exists) or both teams offensive flow to create shots was so bad both teams couldn't get good enough shots to take advantage.

3) Unless your opponent is very honest and told you where his team was enthusiasm-wise, enthusiasm does have an effect before tactic does. This part everyone seems to forget when they look at the results. You may share yours, but he may not and if he does, was he being honest.?

4) Relax and accept defeat. Good teams lose just like bad ones. If that was your best effort, well...... I will keep my opinion to myself...... :)

I hope You're saying you wish you hadn't stumbled on to this thread, because the rest of us wish that as well.

i think the rebs can be explain by individual players and given the chance how did the game was played.

probably your starters were neck to neck , but who went to the bench first and in that transition does the guy coming from the bench has the same skills, gameshape etc?

if the minutes doesnt seem to tell a tale, i think sometimes you dont always see center going against center there will be times switching of players, i do believe in our game engine they also try to look for a miss mtach.

also what if one of them makes the other center go out of its comfort zone.

there is a lot of ways to think of it. but at the end, CT . . . . its like added boost of energy but if your skills doesnt match up to his then all got you is energy.

Sorry man, but I won that match :D

I posted this because i'm just a bit shocked about it was so tied, and astonished about both teams teams picking the same rebounds when:
1- he missed far more shots (so i should picked more defensive rebounds, even with an equal rebound rating)
2 3 leves diference should be more than a guideline

about enthusiasm is easy to guess now, and i follow my opponent matches and know he played TIE at least last 5 matches, so his enthusiasm was high
