CT will no longer be an option in the playoffs next season anyways, so it's pretty much moot as far as the postseason goes.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

terrible news, and gone are the surprising teams. Gone are a lot of tactical options. 4th spot will be chanceless with mostly away games.
4th guy can win now if they normal the 1st, maybe ct the second and then be lucky in the finals, or if the other division is way weaker. When CT isn't possible that's all gone.

Playoffs will lose a lot of its charme now imo.

but it makes sense to get rid of it. in a real life situation every single team will be playing as hard as possible to win. the low seeds can still win, but they just have to focus more on overall tactics and training. it will still be possible for the underdog to come out on top.

Other than CT, what other tactical options are gone?

You're essentially saying that months of league play shouldn't provide 1st/2nd place team the home court advantage they worked for, maybe even sacrificing the cup for.

Why even have home court then, lets just get rid of CT and play a neutral location.

It's a catch-22 for the home court teams under the current system.

1 - CT to match the likely CT from the away team and lower the chance to advance in further round (cross your fingers and hope the opposing team also had to CT'd and didn't cut any kind of deal w/ their opp)

2 - Normal, and hope you don't get upset, though the odds may have just tipped in the opp's favor.

3 - Try to cut a deal w/ your opp, in which you both might benefit.

But, I happy to see this might be the last season we'll have to deal with this system in the POs

thats right I'm whining i don't even want the enthusiasm. I'm assuming Philly must have used there Ct in game 1 on Sunday and Golden State must have used it last year in the first round. Its a stupid system. but if they are going to have it and teams can win on TIE easy and can afford to gain enthusiasm then they should be able to. in my 14 games in playing TIE i was 13-1 so i don't care that much but if you have a system in place then you should be able to take advantage of it. Thats what the day traders do so why should i not be a loud to here.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, Know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money when youre sittin at the table. Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.

Next season, CT will not be a choice in the playoffs.

I must also say that I think the enthusiasm system is not really a good solution. It is inherited from Hattrick, and I think the main reason for introducing it is that it is an easy way to implement something that adds some kind of strategic planning and excitement.

However, the bad thing is that it is not logical. Suppose a team (other than the spurs perhaps) would play thue the regular season with orders from the coach to TIE in every game. Would they then be likely to come to the playoffs ell prepared? I think not. Instead you must find a mix where you play at full in the right games (top opposition), to "get things going", and lower in others, not to be burned out once it's playoff time.
