It looks that way. I have to admit Rhino pulled off a beautiful win so congrats go out to him. Its still so early i hate to think too far ahead but if thinks continue the way it has started then my team should make it far.

We have some good races at the top of both conferences with no more undefeated teams.

uthinkuknow is looking good with the highest PD although they burned half of their enthusiasm with a CT against me.

1. Clawz
2. Rage
3/4. uthink/Diamantes

uthink/Diamantes are about even and I'll give Clawz the slight edge over Rage right now.

Diamantes has the weakest starting 5, but he has the most depth in the league. Rage has a new face every week and the strategy seems to be working since he defeated Clawz on the road (I've never defeated Clawz in the regular season).

And remember... this is the season to win it while I sit on piles and piles of cash waiting to return to the finals next season!

It looks like a 4 team race like last season. Nobody could have predicted that The 88s would win the championship last season. Injuries in the playoffs have cost Clawz and the L.A. Lords a possible championship. The Rockets are doing very well with their modest $117k payroll as they gave uthinkuknow their only loss.

2. uthinkuknow
3. Diamantes
4. Rhino's Rage
5. Mighty Moose Rockets
6. Los Angeles Lords

8/6/2014 - Los Angeles Lords has just sold Thomas Patton for $ 2 002 600.

Patton is a fine player but I don't believe that he is worth $2 million. It is great news for the L.A. Lords who have sold 4 players for a total of $3.7 million.

The Lords are saving a ton of money with their low $84k payroll. Even Indianapolis Icers has to be saving money with their even lower $64k payroll to go along with their huge 34k arena.

There is still time for the Lords to go for the championship this season. If they wait until next season another team like Hardmoney Outlaws could decide to spend their millions and go for the championship. Don't forget about injuries in the playoffs.

I agree with you on Icers. He's been a sleeping giant for the past three seasons. He sold all his top players since he was relegated from a 3 league and has nearly 35,000 seats! I know that's double what you could hope to fill in a 4 league, but it adds to my speculation about how much money he's saved.

I actually set Patton at $1.65M (really didn't want to sell him, but I could part with him for that haul) and three managers kept bidding him up to $2M. I got really lucky, but I got a message from a manager who was interested in Patton (he actually bb-mailed me asking me to lower Patton's price) that said someone posted him on the offsite, so I think that's where all the interest for him was generated.

5 teams at 8-1!!!
Turning out to be a very competitive season will be interesting to see how the 2nd half shapes up and who can keep the ball rolling.

Make that 5 teams at 9-1! It is exciting not knowing which team is going to win the championship.

I would rather have an injury now than in the playoffs

My starting center who leads the league in rebounding got injured in a cup game. To add insult to injury we lost the game in OT to a Division III team. Fortunately the injury is only for 1 week but it could cost us an upcoming game.
