Imo Pressing should attack the main weakness - the really bad offensive flow of the opponent.

All in all my ratings were much better, according to buzzer-manager it was 109 vs. 90 - so thats more then sufficient to win. What sucks most is, that this was my TV game - next time I will seal the deal and play with more effort.

Nah I've got a link somewhere to a that where someone did 3 games in one week vs same opponent. And gathered the stats.

10% increase in rating scores was the outcome.

I'll post the link when I find it.

What probably happened is that there was a set of possessions that would normally have probably been bad shots with M2M, turned some of those into turnovers and some of those into easy shots, and of course sacrificed some rebounding to do so.

Being outrebounded by a frontcourt that is 10 times cheaper is weird enough... however the ratings show us as equal, so -13 rebounds is a bit rough.

I'll put pressing in the same drawer as the other broken tactics

Not trying to criticize you here but

I would never run a FCP defense, never. Unless every one of my opponent's players has under 5 passing and handling lol, and probably still not.

probably the worst defense in the game imo

i also dont know the enthusiasms but he did try harder, (unless he always normals and you always/mostly TIE then it shouldnt have a negative effect).

FCP is also very bad for rebounding, that's why you got out rebounded. Your team's running around trying to force turnovers, they dont really pay as much attention under the basket.

will also tire out your players quickly, I'm guessing that's the reason for the huge 3rd quarter loss.

so, honesty, I think this was all down to the defense you chose.

Maybe there too strong for your game. Maybe you shoulda took it easy if you were smart.

Tough break considering the double GDP. But whilst your game ratings suggest that you were the better team, the match-up PP100 is in his favour for 3 of the 5 positions, and your team also struggled to draw fouls and convert free throws. Admittingly, Mikey Short shooting 12-33 is rotten luck.

I don't want to get into a sympathy war here, but I think this recent game that pretty much killed my run at the championship this season before it had begun is a more ridiculous loss;

Man what kind of guards do you have in your NT? Your opponent started 2 NT guards on strong GS and he could not even get to proficient team outside defence!?

That seems awfully low, maybe he changed defensive assignments and that's why the ratings are slightly deceiving.

Also he had a clear advantage (his IS vs your ID), whereas you had no such advantage (your OS vs his OD) which is ultimately reflected also in the PP100 ratings (his bigs over 100 and your shooters under 100).

Easy, you went 2-8 from the line, he went 12-14......that was the margin, and where you lost....otherwise I dont know what makes you think you shoulda won considering he had HCA and played with more enthusiasm....
