This Saturday's season opener between Bloomington and Montgomery will have zero attendance due to ticket holders deciding to retreat to a nearby shelter. That being said, unfortunately, it will be a truly one sided affair at this weekend's Battle of the Bombers.

Great posts guys.... Matt I like your points on selling players using the percentages as a tool.... I will have my picks on the potential teams in the playoffs and the league winner later tonight....

OK... Had a few extra min this morning... here are my picks....
BIG 8 - Bombers vs Foes with the Foes winning
Great 8 - Legends vs Shlubs with the Legends winning
Foes vs Legends for League Title --- Legends win 2-1 in 3 close games

I just hope to survive the season and get a little bit better. I'm the guy who plays the middle and lets players age into their 30's and trains new guys to replace them.

That's one thing i love about this game. There's a million different ways to do things, (well maybe not that many) and there all successful.
Like most online games, one that comes to mind "quickhit" to be successful theres only one way to go about it. Which is dumb because football isn't played one way. Every team doesn't have Tom Brady! Or you might know him better by his hall of fame name aka The Cheater.

Anyways the point is, I always wondered why Risers set the bid high on his players. I thought in the back of my mind "no one is gunna buy a 40 yr old for 80 000" Reason being your never get your money's worth out of him.
I don't need a 40 yr old back up who's gunna turn to joe dirt next season for 80 000. Ill find a better player for that price.

But that's the beauty of the game, there's no wrong way. Selling 39 yr old grandpa's work, because there are teams out there obviously that play your style of game. And then there are others who are more interested in bidding on a young star and keeping his process going.

I think myself, the sharks and Bomber's are similar in this approach. Although i think the Bomber's...excuse me!!!BOOMINGTON BOMBERS!!! are at a cross roads.

And by the way Lee Quick PF has turned into an all around player. He was the MVP last season. And he either had or came close to a triple double in points, rebounds and assist. And last year he was making 9 something. Sometimes the salaries can throw u off. Ive learned that. I use to think, the higher the salary, the better the player is, but oh no no!!

Anyways..lunch break is over, and its snowing like a mother over here!!! Who didn't BUT wants some snow?? Ill ship it to you in a box, free of charge :D

Im out in Minnesota, we had -7 degree weather today. Suppose to be -11 tomorrow. Yup its winter time!!!
Were home to start the new season, hopefully Minnesota weather slows down them sharks. Let's freeze em out and have shark stu.

Maryland guy here. Lots of wind snow and cold. Forgot about the crazy people who don't know how to drive in snow.

Whoa whoa whoa, no crossroads here! Ivane, Elias, Sasha, Ralph, and Adrian are the now, while Neno, Jay, Tom, Carl, and Nelson are the future. You and I have always been basically neck and neck in this league (for how many years now?? Geez), but I'm past my financial hiccup from 2 seasons ago. A level 5 trainer is back with my staff and we're ready to get at it.

That said... It's definitely down to you me, and Sharks for Big 8 (4th Team is irrelevant). I really don't know who to choose from that 3, but I'm hoping it'll be me, obviously lol. Gimme Cyborgs, Legends, Risers, and Shlubs for the Great 8. I'm gonna give the edge to the Shlubs over the Cyborgs, just because of their experience navigating this league.

Also, Foes, You've been here since season 30 and I've been here since season 31. 10 freaking seasons. Hopefully one of us can finally make it out lol

Lol i just thought you were at a crossroad because other than your 19 year olds. Your other players are in their early 20's (22-24) and just getting training now. And usually it takes 3 good seasons to get them ready for the starting lineup. So, your looking at (25-27) unless there farther along then i think, that's always possible lol. Plus this league has dipped ALOT, as we both would know lol. So that may help them start sooner than later.

For the most part, you've controlled the big 8. I think what it comes down to between us, is who has the higher seed come playoff time, and that team will be in the finals. I mean last season was the ONLY time we beat you in your arena in 10 freaking seasons! That's bad, actually pathetic lol.
Your team is now ahead of mine, bc we still don't have a trainer, so my team is a sitting duck at the time being. All i can hope for is, were still slightly ahead of your players. But even if we are its gotta be by like a %. By the time we see eachother in the playoffs, bc im predicating were play eachother 3 times for the 4th time! Your players will probably be past mine.

11 looooong seasons, it would be nice to advance sooner than later, considering "later" past already.
I do really like our rivalry tho, and it'll suck when it ends. Thats the downside to this game!!
Plus i wish you could trade players in your league, that be cool!

Oh wellllll, here's to another looooong 22 game season!!
