Yeah, even if you can keep an 18 yo limited to cup and scrimmage games, it’s hard to be competitive if you are starting a 19 or 20 yo in one slot every game. About 5 seasons back I sold house, pulled Worthington with the #1 pick, and only came back now that I am close to finishing his training. I am closing out training my 2 starting guards. They are 24, 25, and 25 respectively. It requires shuffling but never starting a player I know isn’t competitive. I have been thinking about what to do as they completely age out of training (things are pretty slow now) and the best I can imagine is 1 young player and a rotating crew of older players that I can fix or upgrade while training a draftee.
