Wow what a surprise to see Nathaniel Jidang among the 3pt contest participants!
Playing out of position at SF to accommodate for the training of younger SG players, Jidang has already clocked a career high 3pt attempts (54) and shots made (28) totals in a season just at the allstar break! That is good for a 51.9% 3pt%, and also averaging a career high ppg at 19.2pts per game this season.
While the 3pt% and ppg will invariably drop as he reverts back to a big man position during parts of the season, it will be interesting to see more big men participants taking part in the 3pt contest and how the changes in NBA will slowly influence the mechanisms in BB as well. Even more if a big man can clinch the 3pt champion over their sharpshooting peers! (don't think it has happened before?)
Perhaps in the future we will have a front court vs back court 3pt contest like NBA's skills challenge?
