I am concerned however as to how much exhaustion really counters short rosters? It did work to extremity in some games last season but that was mostly because people did not set any reserves.

From what I have observed exhausted players (in case they have a substitute set) only sit a couple of minutes and get back in the game, fully "recovered" it would seem. I'm not sure that is enough to make a significant difference.

Would you care to comment on how you perceive the effects so far and possibly some more empiric data known to you, if that is ok?

Thanks in advance!

So in total:

- You made changes before last season PO.
- Managers prepared for it in the off season.
- No changes this season?

Correct till now?

Seriously, why punish so much short rosters?
Isnt it hard enough to get those minutes for good GS?
If there is an injury or foul trouble they are the most they feel it.

Who will afford now NT players with 200k/250k+ sallary?

When will we get exect data how much those penalties do to players if they play too much?
How many minutes is too much?

This is where we hold them!

Surely I am in favor of the player exhaustion implementation in the normal season for many reasons. I would only mention one, that it resembles more real life situations. This change will also reward managers with the ability to cope with multi-variable constraints, rather than the simplicity of the brutal strength of a squad with just 5 or 6 players.

We will not change anything for this season.

I'm sorry, but I can't understand

Will exhaustion this season not be present in any game? Or where last season was present will it also be in this one?

Will there be no changes "since when"?

"Exhaustion effect" somehow should be improved. I think punishing short rosters in this way isn't right. We will have top class players , NT players (usually 200k+ salary) for a cheap price in the market, because it will be more effective to have more 'salary efficient' players. In reality best players are on highest demand. Here is opposite, for example 2 best PF-C of from Lithuania NT were sold for under 200k in total (I'm not talking about mono skilled players...). We will create even higher demand of average players with this imrovement.

Perhaps. Or perhaps it may create higher demand for low salary, high skill SF types, which take way too long to develop anyway

I have been playing the game for about 3 years and even before the introduction of the new BB's, even BB-Marin said he would have liked to limit the domination of short rosters. I'm sorry but that was waaaaay too apparent that the game was going to be changed this way. I don't know you, I have nothing against you but it seems that you didn't want to see it coming even though it WAS coming.

That's what i am saying. I am against it. But why should short rosters be punished? Like I said in a different thread, most of the top B3 Teams have around 7 players, some of them 6. What's the goal here? they should play all 12 spots? no one does that in real life
And 6 or 7 players are mostly what you can expect in a real life situation. It is already punishing to train NT players but at least you had a reward that you get 1-2 great players. Now there is further punishment, and you are unable to profit from the performance of these players. So, i keep asking, what exactly is the goal?

This is a confusing announcement. You're talking about exhaustion and training minutes at the same time, and neither gets enough clarity.

Is exhaustion affecting only 27+ players?
Do only 27+ players need 40 minutes to get full training?
What is exhaustion? Is it gradual, is it sudden?

As a few others have mentioned already, this makes the best players (in terms of salary) even less desirable. Isn't it time to think about something like a salary cap for players? This will increase the price of those players, benefitting the managers who've spent years training them. And at the same time allow those players to be included in more rosters.

short roster teams kill the competition and need to be changed!

What kills the competition is the high salaries that makes people go with short rosters to make it viable financially and competitive.

no one does that in real life

Maybe you aren't following that much real basketball, Barcelona can easily dress 2 Euroleague teams with their roster. Many other teams are loaded with top players or top reserves, Real Madrid, Efes, Milano to mention a few. Olympiakos has Quincy Acy on their roster even though they are sparingly using him (something which emphasizes the fact that coaches want multiple solutions to be there available for them) In real life you will DEFINITELY NOT SEE teams with 5 stars with 1 or 2 semi-reliable reserves and then 3-4 yoyos that are like division c or d in real life terms

Sorry to our non-European managers that I brought comparison from the European competition (that might not be aware of the teams and the names that I mention), but buzzer resembles that model with the local competition, the cup games and the top level competition (Euroleague) rather than the NBA.
